A Little Bit Cottage…Dining With Vintage Tablecloths
A vintage tablecloth added to that picnic basket and taken to the beach or the park adds a great feeling of fancy, but today I’m layering them on…
the dining table for some simple cottage charm…
Since I don’t have a vintage tablecloth that is large enough to cover the entire table, I have layered several…
There is no rule about mixing patterns in my book of interior styling, and in keeping with similar color tones I find that it all just blends well into a unique look…
Some of the fresh cut flowers that I have had for a few days have been mixed with some bougainvillea that I cut on a neighborhood walk with the dogs this morning…
Romantic and feminine vintage French Limoges dishes and more blooms in favorite aqua drinking glasses from Anthropologie, with an old French cutting board for texture…
With the sun streaming in through the antique birdcage, our indoor picnic will be served up indoors this evening with a warm and friendly cottage style…
Thanks for stopping by today!
I love your table clothes–I am a hoarder of linens! Ha ha. Gorgeous table–I want to come over and have a treat!
I love vintage linens also! In fact I have the very same one that is on this article! ??
I think that they are so pretty to bring out in the spring! Enjoy your weekend…
I like the way you have layered your table cloths. I have some old ones also, and I love using them. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
It all looks so fresh and pretty, Janet! The soft colors bring so much summertime to your room! I love the layering of tablecloths, too. 🙂

Hi Janet…I do the same thing in that I throw items together as long as they are in the same color group! I work better with color as opposed to patterns. Gosh I love tablecloths with cherries! Fay
Beautiful! This vignette makes me feel like summer!

Hi Kris! I love to decorate for spring…which it is already here. Hope you enjoy your weekend…xo
Hi Janet, this is beautiful! I’m sitting here in Topeka, KS, with a whole lot of snow outside, so this is extra awesome looking.
Hi Julie…I’m so glad that this warmed you up! Spring is on it’s way soon though 😉
Hi Janet! Love the look. I live at the beach so I’m able to do this all year. Love fresh flowers in the always. Right now I have white on white with a splash of soft beach colors with shells scattered. So fresh. Thank you for all your soft looks. Love it all ?
Hi Sandy…sounds like a dream and I think vintage tablecloths are just so pretty! Happy weekend…Janet
Very pretty and uplifting??
I’m so glad that you liked this post Debbie!
I have a strawberry print vintage cloth and napkins that were my Mother’s. They have been around for as long as I can remember… 70 plus years.
Years ago I collected Vintage tablecloths! I have them stored away for winter but will definitely get them out for spring!! So pretty ?
Hi Deb! I have a small collection still and just love the cheer that they bring. Glad you stopped by.
Hi! I do not see many of these vintage cloths. It is good to see your lovely table. I have a strawberry-print vintage cloth and napkins that were my Mother’s. They have been around for as long as I can remember… 70 plus years. The cloth was well used on our large dining table as I grew up. It shows wear and love.
Hi Linda! I have my grandmother’s old strawberry tablecloth and I just find these so charming. Have a wonderful weekend!
Spring is around the corner so I should pull out the pretty tablecloths and napkisns and start washing and ironing– can’t do anything else on a rainy day in Georgia!! I love crisp linens! Thanks for giving me something to look forward to—setting a Spring table! XOXO
Yes, it is around the corner and I’m looking forward to sharing some more springy ideas soon Cecelia! It was hot here today and felt like summer though. xo

Love the table set with the limoges. I have to say I love all sorts of dishes. Transferware and Limoges are my favorite. Don’t know what it is I have a thing for smaller dishes. Always have.
Flowers in the Mason jar are pretty.
Enjoy
