Another Room Share On Sanibel Island

I have already shared some of the makeover that we did on the Sanibel Island condo, and we did what we could by using paint.

bleach, more paint and careful shopping. The master bedroom is now a quiet retreat with an upscale spa like vibe, but before it looked like this:

A disaster of a combo of a bedroom and office. Uh huh…it was a challenge and a half, to say the least!

New textured modern alabaster carpet was installed by The Home Depot…

We painted the existing bed in white and blue with a primer/paint from Lowes that I highly recommend! The nightstands were originally end tables in the living room in an Early American style and painted as well, with new faux glass knobs in a sea green….

The drapes were washed and bleached and laid in the sun to dry, as they were blackout drapes that we wanted to save some money on replacing. As you can see the view is gorgeous, so they are open during the day…

All of the high thread count linens, the lamps, paintings and that fabulous bench were all found at HomeGoods. We made several trips to several HomeGoods to score everything that we had on our list!

The Early American dresser was painted white and we sprayed the existing knobs in a sterling silver toned paint to give it a modern vibe. The mirror is a vintage piece that was given to us and is the perfect place for checking out the view, which is reflected when you walk by…
Now this place is somewhere that you’d want to kick your shoes off, put those flip-flops on and stay for awhile sipping a cocktail and enjoying some time to relax!
