Relaxed Island Life – Coastal Home Tour
The stunning bones of the residence provide the perfect canvas for the beach-style aesthetic. It’s a mix of old-world charm, and traditional touches, with a coastal living flair.
Upon entering, high ceilings and archways set the tone. A Persian distressed rug blends seamlessly with warm hardwood floors, perfectly paired with a stylish console table.
With a European rustic flair, a hallway showcases a perfect composition. A dark wooden bench flanked by artisan ceramic vases stands beneath a large, moody art landscape. Above, a farmhouse-style chandelier hangs, contrasting against the white beadboard walls and neutral color scheme.
This coastal home tour features a semi-open layout, the dining room is captivating with its traditional style
It showcases a sophisticated wood table and ivory upholstered chairs. The chandeliers and decor -like the candle holders and toile-inspired framed artwork- make the room feel both refined and laid-back.
Next to the staircase, an antique hoop-style chair takes its place beside an end table featuring curved wrought iron legs. Adding a touch of vibrancy, a beautiful lamp with a glass base in an amber hue complements the ensemble.
In another corner of this coastal home tour, there’s this delightful spot that caught my attention. What stands out first is this amazing painting of a wild turkey on canvas. It pairs beautifully with an antique water dispenser creatively transformed into a moss pot on a stand. I just love the creative touch!
Featuring exposed wood beams overhead, a large Persian rug anchoring the room and classical wood furniture pieces -plus a stunning cascading white orchid arrangement-, this room is one of my favorites!
Notice how the dark orange tone of the upholstered chairs matches the pattern on the rug… it’s all about the details and perhaps unexpected in a coastal home tour!
With a subtle European-inspired decor, the living room is utterly chic.
Toile-framed artwork graces each side of one of the sofas, while antique-style benches and console tables seamlessly combine practicality with style.
A vibrant touch of orange comes in the form of throw pillows, blankets, and roses, bringing the whole look together.
In the bedroom, there’s a lovely mix of coastal elements and traditional pieces. The light faded blue hues of the rug match the bedding, making the space a perfect spot to relax.
Beside the bed, there’s a cozy seating area nestled in a bay window. The soft tones of the fabrics used in the room balance out the dark wood elements.
In the butler’s pantry, you’ll find a sophisticated ensemble of design elements, including rift oak cabinets, soapstone countertops, and slab backsplash.
The custom natural stone farmhouse sink, also crafted from soapstone, adds an extra touch of elegance, especially when paired with the reclaimed brick flooring.
One standout feature I adore about this home is the seamless connection between spaces, achieved through the clever use of semi-open layouts. For instance, the kitchen, where a bifold door effortlessly opens to the beautiful screened porch.
The kitchen is an absolute dream! Wide-plank hardwood pine floors introduce a contrasting depth to the pristine white counters. But the showstoppers are the two marble-topped islands!
Its neutral color scheme provides the perfect canvas for quirky decor touches, such as framed maps and a charming farmhouse-style clock.
The screened porch, doubling as an outdoor extension of the kitchen, is just perfect.
Exposed brick flooring and walls set the design tone, while the comfy chaise lounge chairs make this spot the perfect place to unwind and enjoy summer evenings.

The lamp by the stairs is beautiful and the wild turkey canvas is charming. The blue bedding is pretty too.
Very nice! Modern but with enough traditional elements to make it cozy and welcoming👏
