A Simple Feng Shui Touch To Warm Your Home

feng -shui- lemons

Many of you are knee deep in winter, but here’s a super quick tip to add a spring touch to your home from my home in Miami.
Add some color and feng shui to your house by simply adding a bowl of citrus fruit to the table or your kitchen island! In some Asian cultures the practice of adding 7 lemons cleans out negative energy and brings good luck. I love to use a colorful bowl for my lemons like this vintage Homer Laughlin Orange Blossom pattern that I collect and adding lemons makes the entire room colorful.

So while it may not feel like spring where you are right now, small touches around your home will make your home feel like spring! Now lets’ see what my friends are sharing for our series Home Style Saturdays.

  1. I was born and bought up in Hong Kong where fend hui is part of everyday life. It’s amazing how much of it is just about common sense design ensuring good energy flow. I like the idea of lemons on the kitchen table.

  2. I really love the heart sachets and will make them out of linen tea towels as I cannot lay my hands on grain bags, not only are the sachets cute they look farmhouse, thanks for sharing.
