Welcome back to a new edition of our home tour series.
Y’all, this one is something special! This cozy home tour leans into minimalism quite a bit and while this isn’t a style we usually feature a lot here at Shabby, this home might just make you see minimalism in a whole new light.
Instead of feeling cold or overly pared down, the spaces here feel warm, layered, and surprisingly cozy. The secret? A beautiful mix of natural materials, sculptural lighting, and rich tones that soften all those clean modern lines.
One thing you’ll notice right away is how much the home relies on wood to bring warmth into the space. From the built-in cabinetry to the kitchen millwork and window details, those gorgeous walnut tones appear again and again.
It’s such a simple idea, but repeating the same wood tone throughout a home makes everything feel connected. Even though each room has its own personality, that warm wood ties it all together.
And it also does something really important for modern interiors. It softens them so much!
Because let’s be honest here. Most of us are used to seeing a minimalism style that heavily leans in crisp and stark aesthetic. If that look isn’t your favorite, it can feel a bit too cool. That’s why the warmth in this home stands out so much to me!
Cozy Minimalist Home Tour
Here, the wood brings in depth and warmth so the rooms still feel comfortable and lived-in.
Another thing I love about this home is the color palette. At first glance it feels very neutral, but there’s a lot happening.

Creamy walls, warm beiges, rich walnut wood, charcoal accents, and touches of rust and terracotta all come together in a way that feels calm but never boring.
Instead of relying on bright colors or neutral hues, the designer used texture and materials to create depth.
You see it in the marble veining, the soft upholstery, the plush rugs, and even the way the wood cabinetry harmonizes with all the decorative elements around it.
The result is a home that feels layered and interesting while still keeping that clean minimalist look.
Now, let’s jump to our earthy minimalist home tour, shall we?
A Living Room That Feels Warm and Relaxed
The living room might be one of my favorite spaces in the whole house. It’s simple, but it has so much warmth and character.
Right away you’ll notice how the designer leaned into those same walnut wood tones we talked about earlier. The built-in cabinetry, shelving, and that long bench seat all repeat the same beautiful finish, which makes the whole wall feel almost like one architectural feature.

And then the seating softens everything!
A creamy curved sofa sits across from the warm leather bench, creating a really cozy conversation area around that round coffee table.

I love how the shapes play off each other here. The room has a lot of straight architectural lines, with curved furniture pieces keeping the space from feeling too formal.
The textures also do a lot of the heavy lifting in this room.

You’ve got the soft upholstery, the worn-in leather, the patterned rug, and cozy pillows layered together. None of the pieces are overly ornate, but when you combine them all, the room feels rich and comfy.
Another little detail I love is the styling on the coffee tables in the different seating areas in this living room.

Instead of lots of small decor pieces, the designer kept things simple with a sculptural vase and a few branches. It adds height and movement without cluttering the space, which fits perfectly with the minimalist feel of the home.

Sometimes a single beautiful arrangement really is all you need!
The Kitchen: Clean Lines with So Much Warmth
Now let’s move into the kitchen, because this space is such a great example of how minimal design can still feel so warm and inviting.
At first glance, the layout is very clean and streamlined. But once again, the warmth of the materials keeps it from feeling stark.
The walnut cabinetry brings that cozy tone while the marble counters and backsplash add beautiful natural movement. If you look closely, the veining in the stone almost feels like artwork running across the walls.
And then there’s the lighting.
That sculptural brass fixture above the island is such a statement piece. The curved lines and slim profile give the kitchen a really elegant touch, don’t you think?
I also love how the bar stools add another warm element with their soft upholstery and caramel color. They echo the tones used in other parts of the home, which is another reason everything feels so cohesive.
A simple bowl of artichokes, a vase of flowers, a few wooden cutting boards. Nothing overdone, just everyday pieces arranged in a way that feels thoughtful and lived-in.
A Dining Area That Feels Like a Design Moment
Just off the kitchen, the dining area becomes a real focal point.
The round table immediately draws your eye, and I love that the designer chose a circular shape here. It softens the space and creates a nice contrast against all the straight architectural lines around it.

The chairs are another beautiful detail that caught my eye.
The dark frames tie into the black accents used throughout the home, while the textured seats add a little softness and warmth.
But the real star of this room might be that wall behind the table.
The built-in wine storage framed by dramatic marble slabs feels almost like a piece of art. It adds so much depth and pattern without needing additional decor.
And then above it all, the globe chandelier brings everything together. Those soft white globes echo the other lighting fixtures throughout the house, creating a subtle thread that connects room to room.
A Powder Room That Doesn’t Take Itself Too Seriously
Now let’s take a quick detour into the powder room because this space is such a fun surprise.
Powder rooms are often where designers allow themselves to play a little more, and that’s exactly what happens in this one
The first thing that catches your eye is that beautiful wood-toned wallpaper with the abstract line drawings. It almost feels like a piece of modern art wrapping around the room!
The pattern is bold, but because the lines are light and airy it doesn’t overwhelm the space.

The dramatic veining in the marble sink makes the whole vanity feel like a carved block of artwork. Paired with the dark tile below, it creates a really striking contrast that instantly draws your attention.
A Bathroom with a Graphic Twist
The next bathroom takes a slightly different direction, and I love how the designer leaned into a graphic pattern here.

The tiny black penny tile wall creates this beautiful textured backdrop for the double vanity. It’s such a classic tile, but when it’s installed across the entire wall like this, it suddenly feels really modern.
Then the designer balanced the darker wall with crisp white vessel sinks and simple oval mirrors.

In the other main bathroom, we can see a more softer take with less graphic inspired elements and more of the marble and wood panels we see in the other rooms.
A Bedroom That Feels Calm and Cozy
The bedroom might be one of the coziest spaces in the home!
The star of the room is definitely the upholstered headboard in the soft mauve tone. It adds color and drama but it doesn’t overwhelm the room, and it warms up the neutral walls around it.

I love how the bedding echoes those tones with soft ochre, deep plum, and a little bit of pattern. It’s subtle, but it adds just enough depth to keep the bed from feeling flat.
And then we see that gorgeous marble side table next to the bed.

The bold veining in the stone mirrors the marble used in other parts of the house, which is another small way the designer keeps the materials connected throughout the home.
Why This Home Works So Well
What I love most here is how thoughtful every detail feels. Nothing is overly decorated, yet every room still has those little moments that catch your eye. A dramatic marble slab, a statement light fixture, a bold wallpaper in a powder room… those touches make the whole house feel layered and interesting without taking away from the calm and minimalist vibe.

It’s modern, yes. But it also feels warm, welcoming, and so stylish.
When it’s done with beautiful materials and a little personality, it can feel just as cozy as any layered cottage interior!
