New French Chairs In The House

It’s not every day that I buy new dining chairs and these were not even intended to go in our house! Let me explain…

I was tired of the breakfast room set that we have at our beach home, which really is a vintage outdoor wrought iron patio set. I’m sure that I posted photos of it somewhere before here, but anyway…we brought it home and I’m going to use that set OUTSIDE (where it belongs) after I recover the chairs in outdoor fabric. More to come on that later:-))

Like many of you I’m in love with Restoration Hardware and authentic French chairs as well. The photo above was my inspiration and since I could not justify the chair price right now, I found SIMILAR CHAIRS HERE (affiliate link).
I had seen them in person when I was shopping for a design job out of town, and the quality and look is well worth the price. Waiting until they had a sale and free shipping paid off and they arrived at my door this week.
They coordinate with my authentic antique French chairs and I moved one of the pair that we have from the living room to the end of the dining table.

Loving the way that they look in this room, I just have to say!

And….that being said, I am pretty sure that they will stay here and not go up to our beach place.

My husband gave them the “sit test” and approved of their comfy nature.

Changing things up and I’m fortunate to have two places to decorate. I am grateful every single day and we have worked very hard to get there.

I did a bit of shopping around my home and changed out the sideboard area with just a few baby white pumpkins, dried hydrangeas and ironstone. For now:-)

UPDATE: I’ve had these chairs for quite awhile now and they look just as good now as the day that I purchased them. Can’t say enough good things and you can find these beauties RIGHT HERE!

They are very pretty-I bought one on super sale from Cost Plus and then re-upolstered in it vintage linen and I love it. It had brown micro-suede before.

  3. Oh, they look perfect! They are pretty comfy too, aren't they? I got mine on sale as well and for the price, you can't hardly beat it!

    Enjoy.

  4. Oh Janet, I hear you on the pricey Restoration Hardware chairs, I too love this store. I often will look for an inspiration look to match that feel of there over priced pieces. You did an amazing job with the world market chairs, and what a great fit to your antiques. The side board serving table and the open cabinet looks great, in fact it's much like the feel of my buffet and the cabinet I married together. I think we have a lot in common with our neutral tones, French feel, and the same vibe in our mixing of natural and painted woods, as for our side table look, I really love your rustic piece sitting ontop of the French chest.

What's not to love here? Not a thing, I could move it all into my home and make it my own.
    Beautifull post.

Thank you friend for taking the time to visit my place inspiring Fall and the rustic feel of everything relaxed.

    See you soon,
