Styling Spring…Beach House and a Blog Hop
Simplifying…and more and more just allowing a few pieces of furniture, great lighting, and flowers to make the room.
I’m at our beach home and doing some Spring cleaning, and truth be told things are a bit dusty since we haven’t been here in far too long! I don’t like dust (who does?) and here is…
a “before” shot of the table that we built in this open concept home that is opposite the sofa in the living room. It’s sort of a catch~all for beach mementos and some framed family photos. I look at it and see…clutter!
One of our fur babies Darby just hanging out and looking at the ocean, listening…
These florals are from the market and I wanted them to be seen and enjoyed by all. We have no television in the living room here and the table sometimes serves as a spillover buffet if we have a lot of people over…
I love this table that we built a couple of years ago…and you can find the DIY HERE…
So here it is, cleaned up and cleared out, styled for Spring with some great vintage finds, that important lighting and my lovely and sweet smelling roses…
This vintage stepback cupboard bridges that wall of the living room into a kitchen wall, and stores plates and serveware. Down below is storage for more and all of the excess from the table has been put away to style with later…
Beauty in simplicity…
The “after”…
Darby in her cozy spot up on the sofa as I continue to Spring clean…I’m partying with a great group of bloggers today in the Shades Of Spring Open House blog hop, so please check out all of them for tons of inspiration!

"Less is more." That's a philosophy we're trying to embrace. Quite a challenge!

I can practically hear the waves calling my name 🙂
I don't think your table looked cluttered at all but it looks beautiful both before and after:) I love your tile floors! When we finally buy something, I want tile flooring.
You have a gorgeous home. It looks very relaxing and welcoming.
Janet
Hi Janet! Your beach house always looks like such a wonderful, beautiful place to spend some relaxing time – even when spring cleaning! Of course, I always enjoy a sweet puppy pic, too! Have a great Sunday! Hugs, Leena
