Thankful For…Getting Personal Today

These dogs…we just love them so much and they are really such a huge part of our little family…

I don’t often get mushy or personal on the blog but with planning for Thanksgiving I’ve been thinking about how grateful I truly am for our little family and how they are my heart:~}

Impromptu family shot from a few years ago taken at a local park and it’s been awhile so I can’t remember who took it. We are a pretty tight little group and now that the girls are grown we enjoy relating to them as adults and as friends. One of our girls lives here in town and the other does not, and I’m looking forward to all of us getting together over Thanksgiving. That’s coming up soon!
Like any family we have our share of good times and not so good times, but we always have love and support for each~other and I’m thankful…
Life isn’t perfect for any family, but when you have a guy who can constantly make you laugh and brighten up the day…it sure makes things so much better. Sometimes I think about getting him one of those little red clown noses!
Our older girlie has been busy this last week organizing family photos and saving them online into folders. This is one of the first shots that I have of my Mr. and me so many years ago. We had been dating for a short while and his dad came into town and chartered a fishing boat. We laugh now about that day, as the water in the ocean was really rough and after a few hours out there it suddenly got the best of me. Sparing the details, but it was the first time that I met his dad and well…I was kind of nervous about the impression I made as a water wimp. Hah!
Flash forward to a few years down the line and two little blonde handfuls that we were blessed with. I am so very thankful that I was able to be a stay at home mom who was able to enjoy the early years that are now behind us. It was tight at times but I would never trade that for anything or have had it any other way…
I’m thankful for these two great young ladies and who they have become as adults in progress:~}. I’m thankful for our health and that crazy guy who needs a clown nose and is the best father that these girls could ever ask for. I’m thankful for our extended family and friends and for the life that we have built…stone by stone and bit by bit. We make each other better people today than we were yesterday and who could possibly ask for more…

I’d love to invite you to participate in the American Greetings Thank List Challenge. You can create your own personalized ThankList Message or Video to share with someone who you are THANKFUL for.
