Welcome back to a new edition of our home tour series, where we will be getting our weekly inspiration dose from a *stunning* Cape cottage home tour!

I cannot tell you how much joy going on these little virtual tours with y’all brings me!

It’s a moment to take some time to just observe, enjoy, and let all these gorgeous interiors spark up our creativity. And today’s edition is no different!
This one is short and sweet, but just as inspiring as any other. Courtesy of A.LeStage Interiors, this modern cottage home tour has all the hallmarks of contemporary design with a bit of coastal flair sprinkled in.

Exactly what we love here at Shabby!

In this Cape cottage home tour, y’all will see a home design that marries modern sophistication with that breezy and effortless coastal vibe.

This home manages to capture our coastal-loving heart without falling into the trap of nautical clichés or taking the sterile modern route. Instead, it finds a gentle balance of lived-in coastal ambience and modern luxury, all at once.

The Living Room: Cape Cottage Home Tour Decorating Ideas With Stunning Views

Before going any further, let’s give this space the attention it deserves. Y’all, isn’t this living room the dreamiest thing in the world?

The bespoke windows frame the gorgeous views from top to bottom, creating an almost magical feel to the space. It’s almost like a modern coastal take on a glass sunroom!

But what really makes this work isn’t just the expansive glazing (though that certainly doesn’t hurt!). But it’s more about how the interior design adapts to those sweeping views. It allows them to be the main character and gently complements them with sophistication.

The Primary Bedroom: Light and Airy Dreams

Moving on to this bedroom, and can I just say… Those ceiling beams! They add such gorgeous architectural detail. The white paint treatment definitely helps not to weigh down the room.

We can see the windows here, too, continue to work as a connecting thread, like in the rest of this coastal cottage decor.

Y’all know I’m a fan of everything white and blue, and the bedding here does not disappoint. The soft blue hue seems almost inspired by the sky, bringing in a bit of the outside indoors.

Yet the vintage wooden bench sitting at the foot of the bed and the simple botanical art above the headboard add some textural contrast. A perfect combo within the modern coastal cottage decor.

The Main Bathroom: Clever and Unexpected

Now THIS is how you do a bathroom with personality! Instead of going the typical route with a huge mirror dominating the vanity, the designers did something so much more interesting.

Those round windows – hello, subtle ship porthole vibes! – become the focal point while the mirrors tuck in from the sides. It’s unexpected and so much more dynamic than the usual setup.

The recessed niche with that gorgeous textured tile also helps in creating a beautiful backdrop. The warm wood vanity keeps things from feeling too stark, while that sleek white countertop maintains the clean, contemporary feel.

The Dining Room: Industrial Meets Coastal Charm

In the stunning dining room, the black metal chandelier with exposed bulbs adds a perfect industrial edge against all those gorgeous windows.

The designers were so smart to choose textured dining chairs. They bring in coastal vibes without bringing too “beachy”

I’m obsessed with how the rope-wrapped column becomes an unexpected focal point. It works almost like a functional art piece that ties the whole nautical theme together!

The clean-lined dining table keeps the coastal cottage decor within a modern style, while those floor-to-ceiling windows make the outdoor terrace feel like part of the room. This space proves that mixing industrial and coastal elements creates something truly special.

The Family Room: Playful Pops and Productive Corners

This family room is where things get fun and shows simple ways to add some cottage home decorating ideas!

This room shows you can mix multiple bright colors and still have a sophisticated space. It’s all about balance and having the confidence to go for it!

Bringing a rich layer of depth to the neutral scheme, a stunning emerald green ottoman is the eye-catching one of the color accents in the room. Then there’s that yellow desk tucked in the corner, adding another happy color pop!

The geometric pillows keep things interesting while the feather artwork nods back to the coastal vibe.

The built-in window seat with those fun pillows creates the most lovely reading nook, and a modular shelving helps to keep everything tidy.

The Kitchen: Compact Perfection

This kitchen is giving me all the feels! It’s compact but never feels cramped, and that’s all about smart design choices.

The light wood cabinets and white marble create this beautiful neutral backdrop that just lets the real star shine – all that gorgeous greenery peeking through the windows at different heights.

Those upper and lower windows are basically bringing the garden right into the cooking space. The designer was so smart to keep the color palette simple and let nature do all the heavy lifting with color and texture.

Paired with woven stools, the compact island is just the perfect spot for morning coffee with the family. I’m obsessed with how those glass pendant lights add just a touch of industrial edge.

The exposed beam ceiling ties everything back to the bedroom, creating that beautiful flow throughout the house.

And can we talk about that integrated refrigerator? It’s practically invisible, which keeps the clean lines intact. This kitchen proves you don’t need tons of space to create something absolutely stunning – you just need to be really intentional with every single choice!

Coastal Cottage Decor: The Takeaway

This Cape cottage shows us that contemporary coastal design is all about balance – modern sophistication meets relaxed coastal living. This home tour will be especially lovely for you if you’re not a big fan of any of the nautical stuff with beachy motifs. Every room has its own personality while feeling completely connected to the whole.

Letting those incredible windows and natural light be the main event while everything else plays supporting roles makes this home stand out. It’s coastal design that feels fresh, livable, yet achievable.
