Classic White Home Tour
Simple choices with a clean modern vibe, today’s home tour belongs to my sweet friend Kathryn of Dandelion Designs, LLC. With a passion for interiors she shares her story on her Instagram account – Kathryn Packard and her website. Her kitchen and adjoining breakfast area are quite white, allowing for lots of seasonal styling at whim with color and accessories!
Kathryn has an ever changing decor style and incorporates whatever speaks to her in the moment. She has alove of feminine, light, classic and French inspired pieces. “I love making my home feel like it’s “me” and hope to help and inspire others who may need decorating ideas!”
Yes, a real family of three lives here with Kathryn, her Marine husband, young daughter and 2 precious pups. The vacuum is her best friend and everything is washable, proving that you can indeed live with white. After several cross country moves they chose their current home in Indiana because of the family friendly neighborhood.
In their previous home the style was dedicated to a French farmhouse aesthetic. In their current home, Kathryn has been implementing a more classic feel. “My favorite part of this house is its 2-story great room. I love how open it feels. Another plus is that we are now closer to our family and friends.”
This home is the couple’s first new build, and they have done some renovations since moving in. They finished the basement, put in a fence and garden, as well as updating furnishings and decor.
Pretty and feminine touches in the bedrooms with shiplap added to the wall behind the bed. These two rooms in our classic white home tour have a bit of a shabby chic vibe mixed with modern farmhouse. The first bedroom belongs to lucky daughter Leila.
Sophisticated touches in the master bedroom below appeal to Kathryn’s glam side.
The pretty playroom gives daughter Leila a chance to grow into an ageless style. Simple changes will be easy to make as the years go on.
Carrying a theme of neutrals and pastels, Kathryn’s home office blends seamlessly as you head from room to room. It’s similar to the home office that I outlined in this post.
If you love a classic and peaceful home, you might pick up some inspiration in this post. I hope that you follow along with Kathryn’s adventures on Instagram HERE!
