COZY LOOKS TO FALL FOR – FASHION AT HOME

In this post I’m sharing affordable and cozy fall pieces to wear at home. Grab a pumpkin spiced latte and take a look at these cute fall pieces, several of which I own and wear often!

In the days of Zoom calls and staying in, it can lift one’s spirits to get out of those yoga pants and get dressed daily. Not dressed up, but DRESSED…with layering pieces that will take you from a cooler morning into evening. It’s so true that when you look better you feel better about things! Plus when you walk the dog or the UPS guy comes to the door you don’t have to hide.

To many of us, comfort is king (QUEEN) and whether we sit or do things around the house casual pants are a must. I live in either leggings or jeans and these are some of my favorites.

Shop each look from the links below, or find all of the items at the bottom of the post.

Neutrals are the basics of any core wardrobe. Fabrics that are soft and cozy are the ones that you’ll find yourself grabbing time and time again. There are so many comfy tops available this season and these can be mixed and matched handily. Pair any of these with black pants or jeans and you’ll look polished for a day in the home office.

It doesn’t get particularly cold where I live, but with the air conditioner running… a sweater, tunic or poncho is often a must. Here are some that will layer well for those of you that actually DO get some chill in the air outdoors. Plus they are mostly long styles that cover a multitude of sins!

It doesn’t get very cold here, but I do actually own this puffer. It’s lightweight and packs up small enough to put in my everyday tote!

Some cute accessories with a more trendy monogram necklace and stacked bracelet sets.

Scarves are a go-to for anyone of a “certain age” and I love these!

And shoes for the at home days and to wear around the neighborhood.

    1. I’m so glad to hear that June! While I don’t share fashion very often, these are the comfy looks that I wear and I thought others might like as well.

Hi Janet, What a nice reminder that “dressing” is an important part of our day! Wondering how you and your hubby are doing with the vegan diet? My husband started along this path about the same time you did. So glad for the summer veggies. Now we are heading into soup season … our favorite!

    1. I’m so glad that you appreciated this reminder Betty! We have been enjoying the vegan lifestyle, but for both of us we are struggling with our cholesterol numbers despite clean eating. Not going to go back to animal protein though and are trying to do what we can with food before meds. Soup…yum! I have a terrific recipe to share soon.

I enjoyed the fall clothes. It’s always fun to see what is new for fall. I like the camel colored sweater. Thank you Jean

  5. Hey Janet,

Love the looks! Was trying to find the camel wrap coat and the black jacket with tails but I couldn’t find the links. Any suggestions on how to get there? I DID manage to get into J Crew & Nordstrom from a couple other items. Thanks for sharing these inspirational looks!

    1. Hey Kathy! Sorry for my delay but those sold out quickly, which seems to often be the case these days. Hope you find some other pieces that you love!

  6. Thank you Janet for this. Fall is my favorite time for fashion. I’m going to get the batwing sweater ( can’t decide which color) and maybe the denim shirt from JCrew. Someone mentioned soup, hope we do that soon, easy recipes of course.

  7. Love the pumpkins!!! I ordered some of the pink and lime, loved them and couldn’t resist.
You dress just the way I do and I have often wondered if I dress appropriately since I’m 74. But I’ve always dressed the way I wanted to but it’s nice to know I’m age appropriate lol
