Perfect For Pets! – Article Sven Sofa Review

Dog sofa? Well, not really…but we have a trio of fur babies and today’s post is about something new here and it’s pet approved.

In decorating and designing your home, functionality and comfort should be number one. For our home I was looking for a sofa that (first and foremost) is comfortable for the humans and Sven is just that! Secondly I wanted a sofa that is perfect for our pets and the leather Sven Charme Tan Right Sectional is just that as well.

We had a leather sofa years ago and loved it, and when replacing for something more modern went with linen (you can see that post here). After a time, I regretted that decision because I always had to keep it covered since dogs will be dogs and have muddy paws! No worries with leather dog sofa…the natural color variations, wrinkles and creases are part of the unique characteristics that develop a vintage look over time. Win/win!

Sven (love the name!) is a modern take on a mid-century classic featuring clean lines, a tufted seat, and two luxuriously stuffed back cushions with two matching round bolsters to complete the look. It’s highly fashionable while being extremely comfortable for sitting and working on my laptop (which I do often) or tv watching. When I have a chance to nap, with all 3 dogs piled around me…there is plenty of room for all and leather is nice and cool to the touch.

5 other points that I love about my Sven from Article:

• The Sven is lightweight enough to move so that I can easily vacuum underneath, yet nice and sturdy and doesn’t move around.
• That being said, if you’ve ever had a sectional before you know how the sections can detach from each-other. I have not had that happen with my Sven sectional.
• It is not super low to the ground like many other modern sofas (as my last RH sofa unfortunately was).
• Leather is easy to keep clean. I just wipe it down every couple of weeks with a very slightly damp cotton rag and will treat it a few times a year with leather conditioner to keep it supple and protected. Yes, dog sofa indeed because you know the messes.
