French Country Fridays 12 | Join Me In France

Happy Friday everyone, which is generally my favorite day of the week for many reasons. Today though is extra special because I’m in France and will be here for several more days at the tail end of a 2 week trip. I’m fortunate to have been to France many times over the course of the years and it’s a country that I never tire of. Paris is always special to me, since I came here for the first time when I was 14 years old. My parents put me on a plane (alone!) to spend the summer with my French cousins. As a young teen it was scary, exhilarating, enchanting and opened my eyes to other cultures.

  1. That is so interesting that you lived there at fourteen (that explains so much!)…as we took our daughter there to live when she was 13 and 14. And then she continued to study French and had a year at the Sorbonne. We go back to Paris almost every year and this June we are going to Paris and have a week in Provence. Great post!

    1. Paris holds a special place in my heart, as some of my dearest cousins are there. I was so happy to spend time with them on this trip once again. Have fun on your trip…we are already planning our next one!

    1. Thanks Diana! I have been back almost a week and just haven’t had a chance to get to a post on my trip. Soon…hopefully! xoxo

  3. My son and his family live in Paris and I usually go for a month at a time! I love Paris, I love going to the brocants and just walking down the picturesque streets.

I am planning a trip in September. Adele

    1. Oh how wonderful to go for a month! I spent summers in Paris in my youth and hope to perhaps do some longer trips someday if/when we ever retire!
