French Country Fridays 82 | A Home Tour & Makeovers

Welcome on in to our series French Country Fridays! Here is where we share the best of French style decor each Friday with friends and post topics relating to home, the seasons, lifestyle, shopping and more.

Today I’m resharing the recent home tour of my friend Terri, so if you haven’t seen that yet be sure that you do! We are both here in Florida and there’s a hurricane looming, so please keep our state in your prayers. That aside, this weekend my husband and I are moving forward full steam ahead on some indoor project prep. Three of the bedrooms are about to get new flooring and that means moving EVERYTHING out first. Oy…what a pain, but it will be so worth it and it’s a good time to toss out, recycle and giveaway clutter as well. What’s on your plate for the long weekend? Let’s see what everyone has to share today…

Was thinking about you this week in regard hurricane Andrew. We are presently in our 200 yr old brick schoolhouse in upstate NY on the VT border. We leave FL for the summer and spend our time here.
Our FL home is on the Treasure Coast ,not on a barrier island but east of 95. These last few days of waiting and now we are still waiting to find what tract Dorian will take over the next 2 days. If it turns North and where it turns will be such a impact on cents Fl coast. We live in a small gated community of 350 homes , new roof, CBS and storm shutters all around. I ask too that all think positive thoughts for all Floridians facing this storm and those farther north as this week unfolds. Our country does not need this turmoil and may not be strong
and as united as we have been in the past.
PS I am terrible about waiting and of the unknown…I know you probable can still remember your feelings when you faced mother nature.

    1. Hurricane Andrew would have been repeated here had this storm made landfall. I’m so grateful that we were spared Beverly! We have a beach place on the treasure coast east of A1A and it fared fine too. WHEW!!
