It’s the holiday season and in my world, what would that be without beauty?!! Today we have a lovely giveaway for you and it’s from a company that I want you to know about. They are generously offering one of my readers a beautiful gift box. You can keep this or send it to someone special!
If you are over on Instagram then you may have seen Grace Rose Farm. The business first came to my attention when out of the blue I received some beautiful garden roses. They are a family owned and run rose farm located in Santa Ynez, California. Gracie and Ryan are the owners it’s been fun getting to know them this year! I’ve done several photo shoots including their roses like this recent post. The roses are the old-fashioned heirloom garden roses that many of us know and love from childhood days. Ahhhh, the scent!!
It was precisely this intoxicating scent that lead Gracie to develop her Garden Of Grace line of fragrances. It’s described by Grace as “a field-to-fragrance experience that truly embodies the femininity, romance and timeless beauty of our garden roses.”
The roses are gorgeous and I have enjoyed the fact that they are organic so that I can feed the petals to our bunny Mars 🐰. That being said, growing roses is a seasonal business and the biggest obstacle to Gracie is winter (Dec-March). They not only depend on the income from their farm, but have seasonal employees to care about as well. This lead them to develop the field-to-fragrance experience to bring joy in the same way their roses do!

As a little girl, whenever I would smell the rose sachet (Avon), that my mother wore, I knew she was going out somewhere and I would feel just a little bit sad because us kids we’re staying behind. Love the nostalgic memories of that beautiful scent. Would love to experience it again.

Roses in winter… perfect!🌹
Roses always reminds me of my Mother and Grandmother. They were both true southern ladies and both had beautiful rose gardens. They used to order root roses from the local hardware store. There were no garden centers and with a lot of cow manure from our farm, it didn’t take them long to grow and flower. I have a rose garden as well and living in Florida I have roses all year long. I know my mother would love them.
There is nothing better than the smell of roses. My ver favorite scent!!

I was fortunate to grow up in the City of Roses (Portland, OR) I’ve always loved roses! When my sisters and I were little along w/two neighbor girls,(sisters) we’d pick the beautiful blossoms off of a few of their blooming roses that lined the property. I love anything with rose scent! Besides my parents, the most influential people in my formative years were my Granny and Poppy, who lived off the rural mountain below us. They raised 10 children and farmed for a living. As you can imagine, money was tight, especially in the Appalachian mountains where they lived and I continue to live. My Granny always wore rose water that she distilled herself along with a lotion with rose scent. Just the smell of roses triggers such wonderful memories of the most amazing women who lived through so much including the Spanish flu pandemic, similar to what we are experiencing today.

Oh dear! that sounds like a lovely gift set. When I lived in Boston I turned what was an asphalt front lot into a rose garden. It brought beauty to the whole neighborhood. My Queen Elizabeth Grandiflora rose was 8′ tall and bloomed right up to the first snowfall. I now live in New Hampshire and have not had much luck growing roses here. The one rose that does consistently bloom is a wild rose that I dug from an old homesite, where the home had been torn down to make way for a road project.This gift set sounds like it would remind me of my former garden.

I love the fragrance that roses have. When I had a home with a yard, I would buy a couple rose plants or bushes to increase my yard with roses. It was sad when I had to move.

Thank you Janet, this reminded me of my Grandmother’s vanity where she kept her rose water and violet water bottles. I would play in there for hours and imagine smelling like the flowers in her garden. Oh, and how grown up I was. Smile…… Good times.

I would love to win this gift set! My mother passed away earlier this year and her favorite scent was roses.
My grandfather grew roses among other things, in a small city backyard. Their side door had white climbing roses on a trellis. As a kid I just loved their backyard. I did get into trouble occasionally for knocking the ants off his peonies and eating all the parsley in the cold frame! I have tried to grow roses but my yard is just too shady. I really enjoy the content on your blog. Have you thought about a YouTube channel?

Who doesn’t love the scent of roses? As a child, my kindergarten thru third grade teacher used rose lotion daily in the class. It is my favorite scent and always invokes memories of this special teacher and my childhood. (As a side note, I didn’t realize bunnies could eat rose petals. I asked my son if he knew that because he has a minilop rabbit named Georgie. He told me they indeed love petals. It’s so fun learning new things!.)
