Home Decor Favorites & Getting Organized

Confession time. As organized as I try to keep my home, I fear that when it comes to some other areas of life I lack in staying on track! Just ask my accountant, who has to keep close tabs on my taxes because I tend to be that “toss it in the shoebox” business person. There…I’ve admitted it and now I feel better!

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working behind the scenes with blog organization, new graphics and details. My goal is to make this website easier for you to navigate and for me to stage on the back end! I’m trying to address your concerns as well, so please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Most of the emails that I receive from you I can break down into 3 questions. The first is that some of you seem to have issues with the printables password. That my friends is contained in every email newsletter, but you’ll have to scroll down to see it! It’s not a password that you set and forgot, it’s one that I’ve created and if I change it then I let you know.

Another fairly infrequent email that I receive is about the ads on my blog. These ads are placed by my ad management company (AdThrive) and are how I am “paid” to write this blog! All of my content is free, so the ads that you see help pay for the 40-60 hours a week that goes into running this website. I know that ads can be annoying, but you have them on TV, most sites and all free content. Please bear with as far as ads are concerned.

And finally…I don’t think that a day goes by where a source of something in my home isn’t requested. I try and link shopping sources when possible, or at least something similar. I follow design trends, go to conferences and trade shows and love to keep you in the know! So…I’ve just organized a new SHOP THE LOOK category and it is well, errr…ORGANIZED!! There are lots of my favorites in everything from rugs to French chairs, lighting, furniture and more. I’ll link it below, or at any time you can look in my header, found right underneath the SHABBYFUFU LOGO. Head on over and tell me what you think and I want to thank you so much for being a loyal reader here!

    2. Did you change something with the font as well? I’m not sure, but for some reason and it could just be me, but it certainly seems that the blog is actually easier to read! that has really been my only concern, because I do love and appreciate your content and have used affiliate Links of yours before to purchase something. I do appreciate those links oh, it also makes shopping a little bit easier. Everything looks wonderful!

    1. Thank you so much Sue…it’s hard work indeed, but satisfying! Have a wonderful March!

  6. I appreciate how much work a blog can be, which is why I started and stopped one. Yes, the popup ads are “there” and are annoying at times, but I do understand that you are compensated for all the work you do and we benefit with all the goodies you present to us, whether it be printables or beautiful photos. It’s fine. I printed some out on canvas matt paper and gave them to a friend who has become incapacitated. I put a hanging ribbon on them so she can decorate just by hanging them all over the house on the cabinet knobs. She loved them. PS. I did a few for myself, too!!

    1. Oh Eileen…I sure wish that everyone who reads blogs was understanding as you are!! How lovely that you are able to use the printables as gifts!
