How To Decorate For Spring With Easy Touches
I’m soaking in the last of the cool evenings here in Florida and we are doing a lot of outside work that I can’t wait to share with you soon! Today I’m focusing on the inside, with some early spring changes
and a few new things to share! Keep scrolling if you entered the giveaway for the rug because I’ll be announcing the winner at the end of this post 😉
The house is clean and I moved the rug that is sometimes in the FAMILY ROOM to the living room. At some point I might need to get one rug for this room and settle down with it, but I’m a chameleon of color, so we shall see.

How To Decorate For Spring With Easy Touches
With the French modern style of my home I can use the Lourdes Tufted Bench in not only the living room, but the dining room as extra seating, at the end of the bed or…it may make it’s way into that family room I talked about instead of a coffee table. (Umm, wait until you click and see the price!)
Benches are versatile and having pieces that easily swap out from room to room is one of my top decorating tips.
I put the bench in front of the mantel so that you could see “her” in all her glory, but I will probably move The Lourdes in front of the sofa if she stays in the living room much longer. I’m keeping things simple and if you’ve caught the buzz about this year’s WORD in decor of Hygge…I guess that I’ve been doing that for awhile. Creating a simple and cozy feeling for our family to enjoy and gather.
The touches of PINK are subtle with a faux Mongolian fur pillow and some apple or cherry blossom branches in a French pitcher. I added a trio of vintage bottles to the mantel and a vintage birdcage filled with a few blooms.
I shared some FAUX BLOOMS with you the other day and just because they come on a stem doesn’t mean that you need to leave them that way. Pull them off and use as loose blooms, as I did tossing a few into the birdcage for color. I also added a FLOWER CROWN made with vintage millinery florals and ribbon for a bit of whimsy.
A few color pops and a dash of texture is everything in a neutral room, and the Pom Pom Pillow brings some warmth to the chair.
