It’s almost May, although it’s hard to believe it! I’m not sure where the time has gone this year, but for many of you it will come as a relief to get outside. My husband is still going to work every day, as he’s considered an essential worker in the construction field. So that means our projects are confined to the weekend and have mostly been of the outdoor variety. My honey-do list is long, but my honey deserves some weekend rest…so it’s slow to accomplish much around here!
Last weekend we (or I should say, he) pressure cleaned the patio and we moved some things around. The firepit above and one of the umbrella stands that we had for several years gave way to rust and sadly we had to toss them. Then we had a crazy unexpected mini weather event of 25 mph winds one day this week that blew things around. One of our patio umbrellas (below) flew clear out of its holder and smashed on the pavers, ripping itself to shreds. We need shade and lots of it in the summer with the blazing Florida sun!
Besides a patio umbrella we need a few other new things, because we will be outside all spring and summer…hanging around the pool. Outdoors is an extension of the house for us and probably for you as well. So I went down the rabbit hole and started hunting on-line for a variety of patio furniture and outdoor decor from some of my favorite stores. I’m sharing what spoke to me and and covering all different styles and budgets. With retail stores currently closed, many of our favorite shops are having great sales to take advantage of. I have ordered a few things and will share once they arrive in another post!

Walmart might surprise you if you haven’t shopped their on-line site recently. They have a large variety of pieces that are not only their own brand, but others from higher end to budget finds. Plus shipping is often free and many pieces are on sale.

Joss & Main
I ordered a few things this week at Joss & Main, which I sometimes forget to take a look at but I’m always pleased when I do! They have some gorgeous and reasonably priced planters, French style bistro chairs and outdoor melamine that has a French look.

I’ve been counting on Target recently for many of our essentials and they always come through. For summer they have a delightful selection of items for the patio area, great pricing and fast shipping.

Wayfair has long been a go-to favorite place to shop for my home. I kind of feel like “if you can’t find it there then it doesn’t exist”! The prices are budget friendly and *TIP* when you look around, sometimes you’ll see Open Box Pricing. I have taken advantage of these deals myself and have never had an issue.

I love the unique and stylish pieces that Terrain carries! I am looking for structures and trellises and to give some of the areas a French organic feel. They have some wonderful tuteurs and obelisks as well as woven willow garden structures. I’ve always been very happy with everything purchased at Terrain.
