Romantic Spring Mantel Ideas For A Bedroom

A romantic spring mantel is sometimes just what a girl needs. We all need a little bit of whimsy in our lives and to not take ourselves too seriously. Lets just say that this has been one of those weeks for me and leave it at that. I’m sharing my master bedroom mantel area and it’s the focal point of the room, opposite from our bed. We don’t want a tv in the room and it’s pretty much a haven to retreat to in the evening and read before dozing off for the night.

With a mantel as a focal point it’s a wonderful taking off point for adding design elements. I’ve added so many here seasonally like this COASTAL DISPLAY, and this ELEGANT MANTEL DISPLAY. Today it’s about something girly, and a bit shabby chic. Maybe a little over the top, but it’s temporary so why not indulge with a Romantic Spring Mantel

Sadly my flowers were at the stage of dropping lots of petals, so it was time to toss. At the point when you have flowers that are past their prime you can extend the life by flatlaying. Spread across a mantel or shelf and add some cut greens if you have a garden, or faux if you do not. To keep the flowers looking good for a few more days just spray with a mister. Keep that tip in mind if you DO have a garden and make those cuttings last!

French Bench and Flowers

A favorite French bench from At Home that normally holds an extra quilt at the end of the bed. Just for fun a vintage blush pink prom dress adds a pastel romantic touch. Layers of vintage frames and a vintage mannequin that sits in the corner of the bedroom to hold necklaces. I also use “her” as a model when I need to alter my own clothing.

  1. Oh Janet! So beautiful! I love that you have a fireplace in your bedroom! The tulle is just so elegant on your gorgeous bench! I havent been to an At Home store yet. Of course, I love shopping at Home Goods, but would really like to visit At Home! Again, loving the flowers! Thanks for the beautiful images!

    1. Hi Babette! The closest At Home is in Orlando, so quite a hike for sure. Hope you have a beautiful day my friend! xo

  2. Hi Janet! Love your mantel design! The flowers look so pretty cascading over the edge and you know so adore me some pink! The sweet bench and frilly prom dress are perfect! Love the old mannequin Too! I’m planning on tearing out our mantel (this should be interesting) and making a simple box one from old wood for more of a beach style. The one we have now is a huge, dark – stained monster that doesn’t suit the house at all. I’ll be looking at all featured here for decor inspiration! Hugs!

  4. Janet romantic for sure. My kind antique mirror in the gold frame, love the patina of the mirror. The dress form is pretty. I ordered your peony from Amazon. Can’t wait for them to arrive. Thanks for letting us know and congratulations. May brighten my day. Another 12 inches of snow tomorrow, UH

    1. Did you see that mirror actually started out as a picture frame? Not sure if I linked that post or not, but it was a fun project. So glad that you ordered the peonies and I can’t believe that you have snow when it’s so gorgeous down here! xo
