Designer Spring Living Room Decorating Ideas

The before…and although the change isn’t dramatic, it shows what you can accomplish by moving things around. Yes, there are some new pieces that I’ll talk about in a minute, but doing a shuffle dance with the sofa and chairs always makes this room fresh!
Ta daa…the after! I think that most obvious is the new chandelier and what you don’t see is that it replaced a ceiling fan. This room is the first room that you see when you come into our home, and it’s down one step on the right. It’s been a long battle of the sexes to have the ceiling fan taken down, but my husband finally agreed that it really didn’t serve much purpose. We do need the fans in all of the bedrooms, but not in here. We needed more lighting though, and the chandelier in front of the mirror did nothing for us. I’m a girl who likes casual elegance and a bit of glitz, and this chandelier is very similar to the one that we used in the master bathroom renovation. You can see more of in IN THIS POST, but this one is much grander in scale.

I absolutely love the use of the blues in the setting. I have Blue Willow and have been struggling to use it in everyday settings. But, I love how it is used with the whites in the living room. Y0ur home is beautiful and I love the rug. You have given me many delicious ideas.
I am a fan of this new furniture arrangement as well as the blue and white rug. It would be so nice to have enough storage area to switch out my rug for the summer. I also love the blue and white accessories with the punch of magenta (my favorite crayola crayon). The room is lovely. I have recently painted our living area and have incorporated blue and white. After being in this house for three years I finally realize that I love the country French vibe and that I can make it work here at the lake.
Oops I forgot to mention that the Jardin Eclipse rug would look lovely in my living area! The blue and white pillows from Jolie Marche would fit right in!

I had to check out the lighting after seeing that chandelier! They have many nice things, I was genuinely impressed! I have never heard of Hallstrom Home, but they have such beautiful stuff on their website! I especially love the farmhouse decor. Also, I love all the peonies you use in your posts and I visited the Petal Driven website as well. Do you buy in bulk? It seems that there’s always a minimum order of at least 20 for any of the peonies .
