I know we live in a digital world, but when you’re hoping to make your event stand out, always send a real invite. Having a pretty invitation that is hand addressed sends the impression that your guest is important, and their attendance is meaningful to you. That’s absolutely the message you’re hoping to send, and it will be well received.

There are a few standard tea blends, but have you considered giving your teas a theme? There are a few different ways to do that; you could use teas that come from flowers, like jasmine and rosehips, or teas all harvested from the same country. You could go all herbal as well. Whichever you choose, having a set blend of teas will give your party a polish.

Once you’ve chosen which direction you are going with your teas, you have a menu to plan! Are you going to do an English high tea? Bring on the scones and clotted cream. A Spanish inspired tea? A Spanish omelet is a perfect match. Keep your foods light, serve an excellent salad, and make your dessert magnificent.

Just like the right occasion requires the correct attire, the right tea party requires the right tea set. For this one, you’ll need something absolutely stunning. Since we’re celebrating spring and renewal of life, you’ll want to be certain to include a tea set with blooms and beautiful flowers. I love to serve iced tea, unsweet since I’m a southern girl. Use beautiful drink ware for iced tea as well. Iced tea is the perfect beverage for summer entertaining for those who don’t care for alcohol too.

Speaking of flowers, would it really be a SPRING tea party without some lovely fresh cut flowers? You’ll have several options to choose from, but a word of caution: many people have allergies, so be considerate of this as you are choosing your floral arrangements. Either check with your guests beforehand or be certain to choose a low-fragrance set of flowers for your table. Some good options are:
