Beautiful Vintage Glam Home Tour

Today I have the pleasure of sharing a beautiful vintage glam home tour, set in Minnesota. There is so much to see in my friend Kim’s home and her styling skills include a mix of vintage glam, with pops of modern, farmhouse and anything in between!

Kim subscribes to the same theory as I do, that you can achieve a high end look for less and she’s the consummate shopper! I always enjoy watching her Instagram stories where she shares what you can find for your home. So let’s get started and this post will be more photo heavy than word filled…as pictures will tell the story…

This beautiful home belongs to my friend Kim Hazel of the blog – Styled With Lace and Instagram feed – Kim.KStyledWithLace. Since I’ve had a presence on Instagram almost since day one I’ve made some sweet friends with a variety of folks. Kim is someone that I’ve known on the platform for several years and it’s been fun to watch her home and style evolve. Her family room is just stunning and she’s a whiz at seasonal styling!

Kim and her husband built the home in 2005 and chose it because they liked the location and quiet family neighborhood. The builder had a floor plan that the couple loved and they added a lot of upgrades from the original plan during the building process. The couple added custom features through the years like built in book shelves in the family room above. Below is the living room.

While the floor plan is open, there are plenty of rooms to get cozy in and relax. As you can see, the colors are white and cream with touches of blush pink and soft grey. These shades are perfect for bringing in light in the long, cold Minnesota winters. Kim layers on with plenty of pillows and pretty flowers.

I’ve watched Kim make these updates on Instagram and she explained “We updated the kitchen right before Christmas in 2017 with new countertops and backsplash. We chose Calcutta white quartz for the countertops and marble tile for the backsplash.” I say that it’s stunning! See more of that here.

“Along with those changes we included a new sink, and new faucets and pot filler in a champagne bronze finish.”

Plenty of seating for family and friends to gather and a lovely flow that is kept open for flow. The breakfast nook is so chic and take note of Kim’s mix of chairs.

“Our most recent remodeling project was last Fall when we had all the flooring on the main level replaced with wide plank white oak. What a difference that has made! At that same time we also had shiplap installed in the sunroom for some architectural interest.

Kim enjoys recycling thrifted and vintage finds and often adds a coat of white paint to freshen things up. These vintage wheat chairs and the cupboard now coordinate with her style so well! To add a bit of warm rustic charm, the dining table is wood and that’s something that you see throughout this home.

Pup Reggie is never far behind and always steals the show!

Lots of vintage glam mixed with modern in the foyer area leading to the upstairs. This area is spectacular during the holiday season and I can’t wait to see what Kim does this year!

The glamorous master bedroom that is a chameleon with different pillows, throws and artwork, changed out often. Note the layered rugs that add a cozy touch to this home.

Their daughter’s bedroom got a recent makeover and you can see more on Kim’s blog HERE.

And finally…a recent powder room update that Kim shared. Another beautiful look pulled together with vintage glam charm!

  1. Everything about this house is lovely. The softness of the colors is so appealing and calming. The wide plank wood floors add to the softness. There are so many ideas that I want to go back and study each room.
