Clayton Classic Home Tour – Discovering Traditional Elegance

Let’s start our visit with the fabulous entry foyer. Here, we can already get a sense of the curated interiors we’re about to discover.

The background is streamlined, with the classic white walls and elegant staircase railing, making it the perfect background for the little details to stand out. A pretty bench boasting blue geometric patterned fabric welcomes you in.

The mix of mismatched pillows complements the vintage Oushak rug prettily, giving this entry foyer a cozy and sophisticated feeling that welcomes you in.

The gallery wall of framed family pictures is such a pretty touch, isn’t it? This type of gallery wall with black framing can be tricky to pull off, but here the black railing balances it out.

Let’s move on to my favorite parts of this home. The living room!

This room has a darker and moody feel, but still feels airy. The light-colored furniture and metallic touches, plus the glossy finish of those stunning navy wainscoting walls, do wonders to keep the room from feeling too visually heavy.

Set against a rich navy background, the refined mix of metallic elements creates such a sophisticated look.

Dazzlingly mercury glass lamps, gold accents -like the starburst mirror- and silver elements make this room feel moody and glam. It’s such a smart way to bounce light around the room!

Mirroring the vibrant green hue of the floral arrangement, lush armchairs bring a refreshing pop of color to the room.

Just like in the foyer, we can spot the same playful use of mismatched patterned fabrics. Geometric pairs with florals and stripes… a timeless combination of traditional design!

The same design story carries through to the bedroom, where blue continues to be the main character.

The bedroom stirs away from the more dramatic flair of the living room, taking a gentler aesthetic. Boasting a mix of creams and pale blues, the layout has that classical symmetry so common to the traditional style that remains timeless.

The floral curtains in soft blue and white add to the serene feel.

Facing the bed, two armchairs sit next to a console table, making a lovely seating area to unwind or read before bed. Notice how the thoughtful details make the room feel harmonious!

Framed watercolor landscapes add a splash of color, echoing the same hues we find on the rug and upholstered bench.

The main bathroom is an elevated take of traditional interior design. Textured faux grasscloth dresses the wall and adds a layered effect that plays well with the travertine tiles and eye-catching blue cabinets.

Stunning octagon mirrors and chandelier, add a little bit of sparkle and extra glam.

In the powder room, a splash of unexpected color was used with a striking wallpaper in orange and white featuring floral motifs.

Creating different moods with the same color scheme is not as easy as it sounds, but the designer has done it so masterfully here and as a long-time fan of white and blue (with a touch of green thrown into the mix!) I couldn’t help but love this stunning home.

I hope this home tour has inspired you and you’ve enjoyed exploring this gorgeous home like I have!

    1. I couldn’t agree more Maria!

  2. There are so many pop up ads on your website it’s almost impossible to read the content and half the time I just give up.

    1. Hi Lin,
I certainly understand that you don’t care for the ads and ads can certainly be annoying (even to me). That said, ads are part of every website these days, big and small. They are how every space on the internet can provide the free content and still make some money. I work very hard on my own blog and have expenses in running it, so like everyone I need to be paid for my living. You can indeed “x out” the video ad and that might help you. Thanks for understanding…
