Happy summer weekend friends! I prepared this post ahead of time, as I usually do so that I can the post up early in the morning for you to see. You know…sort of like reading the morning newspaper but generally a whole bunch more pleasant! Today I’m sharing…
and joining up with a few blog friends who love using the art of shells as much as I do, and what better time to display them than in the summer! Look for them on the beach when you are on your vacation by the shore and bring them home for crafting or simply for showing off as a reminder of fun times.

In our beach home (which we are currently redecorating:~)) I have shells everywhere that I bring in from outside and have also made quite a few things with what I find. You can read much more IN THIS POST about my collections there and also I have a tab set up in the CATEGORIES that will take you to all of the posts shot there…

One of my favorite things to do with large shells is to use them as bowls, and this HUGE old clamshell is great for creating a centerpiece for a BEACH HOUSE TABLESCAPE.

My friend Kim over at Savvy Southern Style is a master of display and shows shells done well in her SUMMER LIVING ROOM.

Kathleen over at Charm Bracelet Diva shows her version of a POTTERY BARN INSPIRED SHELL CLOCHE at a fraction of the cost.

Pam at House Of Hawthornes gives you a tutorial on creating a darling VINTAGE TICKING SAILBOAT that looks great with shells in a display.
Nancy at Artsy Chicks Rule has seashells scattered in her SUMMER LIVING ROOM TOUR.

Barb over at The Everyday Home gives you the scoop on how to create a SHELL COVERED POT that is quite “shell-a-gant”

The girls from Frugelagance show off shells in a SUMMER HOME TOUR.

And in Susan’s farmhouse style living room a touch of shells in her home bring a coastal feel.
