French Country Fridays 38 | Bleu Hues
Welcome on in to our series French Country Fridays! Here is where we share the best of French style decor each Friday with friends and post topics relating to home, the seasons, lifestyle, shopping and more.
What’s the weather like where you live? Fall is extremely subtle in Miami and this morning I was finally able to drink my morning coffee out on the patio and then take a nice long walk OUTSIDE! It’s still necessary to have the a/c on, but as a fan of nature I’m just happy to get out there when I can. One of the other signs of fall here are the turkey vultures gliding on the high air above, as they’ve come down from northern climates. I wonder if that is where the term “snowbirds” comes from and those folks will be down for the season soon too. Today I’m going to be working in our master bedroom that is getting a makeover, so for now I hope that you enjoy French Country Fridays!

SNOWBIRDS the silver head Canadians who like birds head south for winter……..I live in Northern Ontario and we have had the cold air and snow moving in however this morning it’s rather mild so I would estimate about 5 Celsius which is early 60’s enjoy Janet I’m envious of Florida warmth!
We don’t see too many snowbird tourist in my suburban neck of the woods, but we sure do in the area of our beach home! I couldn’t take the snow…but the extreme heat and humidity can be tiresome but the time November is almost here. We cooled off just slightly early this morning, but it won’t last and the heat will be back. Happy Sunday!
Gentle friend,
I remember one October was spent in Destin, FL during the Fall. It was an interesting time as we had never been to Florida during that season. I remember seeing a bonfire below someone had built on the beach from a condo we were staying in. It gave us an interesting perspective of a place one typically calls a vacation home away from home!
PS. This past August heat in Texas burned several of my plants, then the rains came the last two full weeks in October! Burned and flooded was our lot as I was never so happy to LEAVE my home with my husband to putter around town! 😉
