Garbage Turned To Glitz Makeover

Get set to glitz it up, but first…I have an abundance of flowers in the house and I posted a tutorial that I think you might find to be of help if you love photography but are struggling a bit. You can find that HERE

Before shot…

I had some plans for you old rusty cart that was tossed out to the trash in one of the estates that we’ve been cleaning out! This is the before, and the after is coming…so keep reading cause it’s so pretty and may give you a creative spark!

I’ve definitely been known to dive a few dumpsters in my day, and if something is calling my name loudly I still might do that:~))

As you know we’ve been giving the patio a makeover and summerizing it for our brutal Miami weather. My husband always said that whatever is out there would have to be brought inside if there is a hurricane warning, and we have definitely had to do that one too many times! Clutter aside, we do entertain out there often and sadly our blue bar cart was missing parts and falling apart. It has to go and I have scheduled a pick up from the Habitat ReStore soon, so someone else can repurpose that one…

I used the same gold spray paint that I used on THIS project.

After shot…

All styled and a quick shoot indoors, because it’s about a billion degrees out there today.

Styled as a bar with some flowers, bottles, decanters and a few other perfect pieces. The top is wicker, which by the way takes to spray painting beautifully. I used a white plastic serving tray on top to give some more stability to my growing vintage decanter collection and crystal ice bucket…

Bar carts are so stylish, especially in GOLD!  They can be temporarily parked in any room with stacks of books, statues, and your favorite collectibles…

I think that we have the start of a rolling party here! Do you have a bar cart? What would you use one for? Check out your local thrift shop, as they are generally easy to find.
