Gorgeous Beach-Style: Newport Home Tour

Get inspired by today’s home tour! In this home tour edition, we’ll explore coastal living at its finest in this Newport hidden gem—a true embodiment of modern coastal decor.

Created by the skilled team of Paul Weber Architecture and designed with sophisticated details by SLC Interiors, this delightful beachy home offers a refreshing take on coastal-style living.

Beach-Style Living Room Ideas Home Tour

The designers created open spaces with an uncluttered feel thanks to their strategic use of natural light, neutral hues, and open spaces, letting the coastal landscape surrounding the property shine through.

The design philosophy centers around tranquility and simplicity, creating a harmonious blend of beachy elements and modern sophistication.

From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by spacious interiors flooded with natural light streaming through large white doors and windows. The entryway exudes timeless elegance with a white barrel ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with light. A soft grey rug anchors the area. A large round table in neutral wood displays a vase of greenery, books, and coastal-inspired decorative knick-knacks.

The streamlined living room design is a breath of fresh air. Imposing floor-to-ceiling windows and doors take over the entire wall, allowing the scenery to be the focus point.

The seating area is divided into two sections, with sectionals mirrored on opposite walls. This layout allows for fantastic traffic flow and lets the porch become part of the living room design.

Soft neutral shades like ivory and light grey make this room feel even more spacious and breezy, while the natural landscape entering through the windows adds a bright contrast.

In the dining room, the decor switches from coastal-inspired to a more mid-century aesthetic, while keeping the airy vibe. A light taupe hue graces the walls while the ceiling and moldings remain white. The furniture features a mix of light and contrast.

Upholstered ivory dining chairs gather around a lush dark wood dining table.

A console table in a light beige shade, which pairs beautifully against the taupe wall color. A stunning arrangement of greenery brings a fresh touch.

Tucked away in a sun-kissed corner, there’s a cozy breakfast nook facing the kitchen.

A contemporary farmhouse-style round table is paired with ivory-upholstered dark chairs. Adding a colorful twist, an accent chair in a white and blue pattern further enhances the coastal vibe of the room.

Coastal Kitchen Ideas Home Tour

In the heart of the home lies the exquisite kitchen, where elegance and functionality meet. A spacious island takes center stage, boasting a luxurious marble countertop.

The dark hardwood floors and blue accents create a striking contrast against pristine white cabinets, walls, and windows. White and blue Chinoiserie vases decorate tabletops filled with vibrant floral arrangements.

The hallway boasts white wainscoting and a striking X-shaped wooden console table decorated with a fresh arrangement of succulents and greenery. Above the table, an aged white mirror features faux-coral motifs. The contemporary furniture pieces enhance the modern ambiance, exuding a distinctive beachy style.

The main bedroom features a white vaulted ceiling with greyish-blue walls and white molding, creating a soothing space.

The color palette harmoniously combines soft greys with delicate blue tints. A distressed rug in various shades of grey grounds the room, while the inviting bed with plush bedding commands attention as the focal point of the space.

The bathroom continues with clean lines and light blue accents but the materials used like marble and metallic finishes elevate it to a luxurious level.

Home Tour: Coastal Blue Family Room Ideas

Instead of crisp white, a serene egg-blue hue takes over the family room from the ceiling, and fireplace, to the custom-made home bar.

A cozy rug, plush accent chairs, and a soft grey sectional add comfort to the room while the coffee tables and decorative elements add a touch of character and contrast.

  1. I live in So Cal. When I see “Newport” I always think of Newport Beach in Orange County. I live about an hour from there but everyone I know shortens Newport Beach to “Newport.” I forget that the rest of the country thinks of Rhode Island when they hear”Newport”!
