High Point Market Design Bloggers Tour – Day One

eichholtz furniture and accessories
Inspiration everywhere and as far as the eye can see there is beauty in each and every detail at High Point Market! I recently had the opportunity to visit the market with the Design Bloggers Tour for HPMKT Fall 2016 and today I’m sharing a sampling from some favorites. As a long time design enthusiast there was inspiration in every corner, at every turn and I’m still looking through my photos daily.
Come visit with me, as I share our jam packed first day…

bernhardt furniture dining room set
We started with a tour of the Bernhardt Furniture showroom, always a favorite for elegance and class. This dining room in glass, chrome and cobalt velvet was a favorite and the attention to detail is perfection. You really don’t need a whole lot of accessories when you let the furniture shine and be the star of your setting!
bernhardt furniture lucite bed

Then this lucite bed…which speaks to this beach loving Miami girl and may yet make a modern lover out of me. I could see this styled with some fluffy white ruffled linens to soften it up and you know how I’m a believer in accessorizing with pillows and throws.

geode chandelier

I love geodes and DISPLAY THEM IN MY HOME so it’s only natural (no pun intended) that this chandelier in the Bernhardt Furniture showroom caught my eye.
 Eichholtz furniture
This amazing room vignette from Eichholtz shows some of the beauty that they shared with us. Based in the Netherlands, you will find their furniture, lighting and accessories on their WEBSITE and if you are looking for something with high style you might just find it there.
sho-modern furniture
Modern is huge and what was once something that our mothers had in their homes in mid-century is making a comeback. I spotted lots of leather, lucite, shag, hammered metal and texture…as in these rugs from the SHO-MODERN showroom
duralee palm springs collection of furniture mid century modern

Did someone say Mid-Century Modern? I found that in Palm Springs, actually in the showroom of Duralee that carries so much more but had this fun, fun setting for this collection in conjunction with Crypton Industries fabrics.
vintage velvet collection
Velvet…fun…DURALEE with CRYPTON
castelle luxury outdoor furniture
Luxury outdoor furnishings by Castelle, where every piece is made to order with expert attention to detail. If you are looking for long lasting furniture, this line may be something to consider and here in South Florida it’s one of their largest customer bases.
affordable standing desk
Standing desks…have you ever considered one? My husband has been on the hunt and over at Ameriwood they came up with a brilliant solution of desks that will convert quickly for that use.
Katy Skelton
Modern and nostalgic is young designer Katy Skelton‘s tag line and her furniture and accessories are just that!

Pyar and company
luxury pillows
We had so much fun checking out the pillows and trims in designer Michelle Workman’s space with her company Pyar. Lots of custom pieces that are unique and the trims are sourced out worldwide.
Joanie Design
Joanie Design floral wallpaper
My kind of yum…at Joanie Design with furnishings for a complete and HAPPY home! Happy is right…aren’t the colors ahh-mazing here :-))
mid century modern chair gold legs
Next and finally on to Thayer Coggin and I love the the gold touches and once again that bulletproof (ok…stain resistant:-) fabric from Crypton. Thayer Coggin has been crafting furniture for 60 years and we were treated to a tour of their factory…a great way to finish up a great day of touring with my sponsors the DESIGN BLOGGERS TOUR at HIGH POINT MARKET
