It’s the first day of October as you know and we are feeling it here in So FL with cooler temperatures! I appreciate the emails and comments questioning how we fared in Hurricane Ian…so many kind and caring readers:-)) We are fine and had tropical force winds and a lot of rain for several days, but nothing severe on the east coast of FL. On the west coast of the state, that’s another story and I’m devastated about the destruction on our beloved Sanibel Island. If you’ve been a long time reader you may recall that we spent a lot of time over the years on the island. My in-laws lived there and our kids grew up on that beach, visiting Sanibel as many weekends as we could get away. It’s just too sad for words and I hope that most were able to evacuate prior to Ian. No one is going to be able to get back on the island for possibly years, unless by boat.
