Happy Saturday and welcome in! Thank you for the comments, emails and general advice about planning for my daughter’s wedding reception at home that is 2 weeks from today! I’m definitely a newbie at that, so keep the ideas coming. One of the best things about having this party at our home is that some of the projects I’ve been asking (bugging;-) my hubby to get done for the longest time finally are in the works. Whoot! Our pool has been desperately begging for resurfacing and it’s been started. Quite a process involving chip hammering, sandblasting and more. I’ll share that soon, and on Monday I’m excited to be sharing a special post with one of my favorite things that I’ve gotten to do as a blogger! Right now I’m sharing some random favorites (yes, I’ve been shopping!) and then Home Style Saturdays with friends.

Hi Janet! Love the chandelier you have in the images above! I also like the wedge shoe! I’m really seeing alot of those lately! Isn’t it funny how a wedding can inspire things to get done in a hurry! Your home is so beautiful! I know it all will be stunning! Thanks for sharing!
Your home is so gorgeous I know the wedding will be beautiful. Love all the inspiration and love some of the faves you are showing. Happy Sunday. Have a great start to the new week.
xoxo

My best advice (having been through this 3 times on the ‘bride’s side’…is do what you can do and just as you get to THAT day you will realize that something will have been overlooked, etc. A bit before people start arriving just “let it go”. Whatever doesn’t get done-and it may be just some little thing-no one will notice or care. Relax and enjoy every moment of the rest of the day/evening. It is a memory you will cherish forever. xo Diana
