Home Tour – Quaint & Creative New Hampshire Cottage
My favorite thing about this home is its whimsical simplicity, something that is unmistakable the moment you walk in.
In the living room, soft sage green walls elegantly contrast against the rustic stone fireplace, adding a touch of serene charm to the space.
The farmhouse-style furniture, rustic textures, and adorable collection of felted figurines come together to create a whimsical dream. The themed animal portraits are such an adorable touch, right?
Having collected items with sentimental value on display is an essential key to making a home feel more welcoming and with that homey feel.
I always talk about this, and this home is a perfect example!
A simple white console table showcases an assortment of collected items, each one reflecting the owner’s unique taste and style.
Opposite the living room, a built-in corner bookshelf stands tall. While it is a bit cluttered, this is a lived in home and not a glossy magazine style shoot!
Against the neutral backdrop, a plentiful collection of books and decorative items infuse the space with vibrant colors and textures.
Throughout the home, there’s a thoughtful use of color balance.
Whites and ivory enhance natural light, opening up spaces while bright accents add pops of color without overwhelming the composition. We can see this in every room, like in the kitchen.
