Mid Week Musings 2 | Crazy Eventful Weekend | What’s New

A little of this and that today in Mid Week Musings and getting back to some old school blogging basics. You guys seemed to like last week’s post, and if you missed it…find it right HERE. It’s really all about serving you on this blog, so if you keep reading I’ll keep posting!

It’s been a crazy few days here at our home and this year has certainly been full of the unexpected! We were relaxing on Sunday and hanging out with the pups, when I decided to give them a treat. Our old guy Toby tends to inhale his food without chewing and the treat got stuck in his throat. After trying to dislodge it with no luck we hightailed it as fast as we could to the emergency vet, getting there just in the nick of time. It was a close one, but they saved him and we are so grateful that it wasn’t his time to go yet! For those who have been with me awhile you might recall that Toby was my late father-in-law’s dog and it’s like having a piece of his memory around. Then yesterday, my husband had to go to urgent care because Toby bit his hand in several places when he was trying to extricate the treat. A shot and antibiotics and he should be fine.

Prior to that fiasco we worked on a garden project that I’ll be sharing as soon as I get it photographed. I can’t wait to show you and am happy with how it turned out. Any guesses?

Speaking of getting things photographed, I have a GORGEOUS piece of coastal art that should be here tomorrow! I have worked with Minted several times for sometime now and am excited for this one. Find it HERE. Minted sources from a global art community and there are lots of cards, small gift items as well as wall art. It might be a bit late in time for Father’s Day, and while you may not be able to gather together, you can still honor Dad and Grandpa from afar. Check MINTED out!

I ordered a new coastal area rug for a portion of our large outdoor patio and it arrived yesterday. We have such a harsh environment here that it eats up outdoor rugs and they need to be replaced every couple of years. Here’s the link for my new rug that was so inexpensive – Solid Outdoor Contemporary Distressed Area Rug

Speaking of outdoors…wait for it…I have not one, but TWO outdoor posts coming tomorrow with some incredible blog friends! I’m hoping to head up to our beach home for a few days tomorrow as well. Enjoy your day!
