Shabbyfufu friends, it’s hard to believe that it’s time for me to write this post. After 18 incredible years of sharing inspiration, creativity, home renovations, and pink painted pine cones with all of you, I’m excited to embark on the next chapter of my life! This journey has been filled with countless memories, from the excitement of each new project to the joy of connecting with so many like-minded souls who share a passion for creating beautiful, welcoming homes. As I transition to this new phase, it’s a moment of both anticipation for the future and heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful community we’ve built together here at Shabbyfufu.

Shabbyfufu began as a small corner of the internet where I could share my love for decor and DIY, but it quickly grew into something so much more—a place where we could come together to find beauty in the everyday and inspire each other to live creatively. Each comment, email, and shared project has been a reminder of the incredible community that has blossomed here, and I am endlessly grateful for your support over the years.

Meet Kassandra, the New Face of Shabbyfufu

As part of this exciting transition, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Kassandra, the new face of Shabbyfufu. Kassandra and I connected earlier this year, and I was immediately impressed by her warmth, creativity, and passion for home decor and family life. She is a devoted wife and mom to four beautiful children aged 9, 7, 5, and 10 months. She’s no stranger to the balancing act of family life and creativity, and her experience shines through in her thoughtful approach to decorating and her clever DIY solutions.

Kassandra was born and raised in Arizona and later moved to Colorado, where she met her husband at a CrossFit gym. It’s wonderful to think that they had two of their four children in Colorado! Now settled in Austin, TX, Kassandra has fully embraced the local culture. She often jokes that you can’t truly take a Texan out of Texas, and her husband’s love for the state runs deep—real deep!

In their home, Kassandra has a giant Boerboel, also known as a South African Mastiff, named Hazel. Though I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Hazel, I’ve heard she’s lovely!

In the coming weeks, you’ll start to see more from Kassandra as she embarks on this exciting new chapter. Her thoughtful approach to home decor and family life is sure to resonate with you.

Thank you for the unwavering love, support, and inspiration you have given me throughout these years. It has been an incredible journey, and I am so grateful for each and every one of you who has been a part of this community. As I move into this exciting new chapter, I’m thrilled for you to welcome Kassandra, with open arms as she continues to bring fresh ideas, creativity, and engaging content to Shabbyfufu.
