Grouping vignettes tends to look better in odd numbers, like three or five…so I played around and found that I had some faux peonies in my crafting supplies and created a floral trio.
You don’t need a mantel as a focal point obviously…a bookcase from Ikea makes for a great standout piece and I’ll share how I customized the one in my office in another post soon.
That old pink bench was dragged back into the living room to use as a functional coffee table. I arranged some more flowers (hey, it’s my birthday week so we have lots in the house!} pink candles on a white tray.
Benches are great to have on hand for extra seating, and I try and keep key versatile pieces of furniture around that can be used in different rooms for different functions. If you don’t have one, try your hand at building one from a pallet or search thrifts for something that can be upcycled.
Beautiful
Hi Janet,
I love the idea of dying pillow shams! I had never thought of it, but it is such a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
