Did someone gift you (or re-gift:-) with a Panettone bread this year for Christmas? We seem to receive one every year and this is what I love to do with the fruity sweet traditional Italian bread.
With family gathering and opening presents on Christmas morning, my Panettone french toast recipe served with coffee for the adults and hot chocolate for the kiddos is a great way to relax and enjoy and are fuss free for the home chef!
I am far from a professional chef and not an expert, but I have been cooking and preparing for my family for many years and love to share my favorite recipes from time to time.
- A loaf of traditional Italian Panettone bread
- Eggs
- Milk (I used unsweetened vanilla coconut milk
- Optional: Cinnamon, powered sugar, vanilla extract, honey or maple syrup
Fry in a skillet sprayed with coconut oil cooking spray until golden brown. Sprinkle on some cinnamon prior to cooking if desired.
So, so good and will leave the crowd filled for hours!
Yum Janet. I have always been intrigued by the Panettone bread. This sounds so good I might just have to try this. Have a very Merry Christmas with your family.
Kris
