If you love the cozy modern farmhouse style, you’ll love this new home tour! Light neutral color schemes and traditional farmhouse decor elements weave a sophisticated design story in this stunning home.
We’re visiting a stunning home in Minneapolis with an elevated farmhouse interior decor style, designed by the team at Beautiful Chaos Interior Design & Styling.
There are many things I love about this home design! But, the biggest one is how the decorator kept the essence of the farmhouse style without falling into the trap of clichés.
She has woven in quintessential farmhouse elements in a modern setting, masterfully striking a perfect balance that while still very much farmhouse feels just as current.
Curious? Join me on this home tour! Let’s take a peek into this charming home, shall we?
Home Tour: Cozy Modern Farmhouse in Minneapolis
The entry foyer gives a peek at the core of this home’s design. Lots of white, ivory, and neutral touches work as the backdrop while distressed textiles with folk patterns balance out the neutral hues.
Isn’t this a charming entryway idea for the fall? I loved the little detail of the greenery stems inside the rain boots!
With rustic decorations such as metal buckets and wicker baskets, the home feels cozy and so homey!
In the living room, the layout is perfect to promote conversation when entertaining or to simply lay back! This cozy modern farmhouse just gives those relaxing vibes!
Gathered around a stunning farmhouse-style coffee table, a spacious sectional works as the focal point. The layered textiles add pops of color that break up the neutral color scheme.
Right across from the cozy modern farmhouse seating area, there’s a grey sideboard that not only provides extra storage but also serves as a fantastic spot for showing off seasonal decorations.
Cozy Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Ideas
With white shiplap dressing on the walls, white and grey cabinets that show the wear of time, and open shelves showcasing rustic kitchen accessories, the kitchen in this home is a quintessential example of farmhouse decor done right!
There are two islands. One just for cooking and another that works as a breakfast bar. The x-back stool chairs in exposed wood go so wonderfully in this kitchen, don’t you think?
In an open-concept layout, the dining room is just between the living room and the kitchen. Here, the mix of a reclaimed French-style farmhouse table and wicker chairs is just delightful!
Thanks to the stunning architectural structure (and so many windows!) the entire floor plan feels wide and open, allowing transit flow between each space.
Modern Farmhouse Home Tour Bedroom Ideas
The bedrooms reflect the same aesthetic of the home, with an extra touch of homely comfort.
Vintage-inspired bed frames with snuggly layers of bedding, neutral color palettes, and exposed wood furniture and decor that add to the rustic feel.
There’s just one room where things change a bit. The eye-catching wallpaper featuring a watercolor-like illustration of horses along with the exposed beadboard ceiling has a more dramatic flair and romantic feel to it.
Modern Farmhouse Home Tour Bathroom Ideas
The bathrooms have some contrasting details, like the grid glass shower door and darker hardwood floors that give it a more industrial feel. Just like in other rooms, the elements are a perfect blend of farmhouse decor and more contemporary ones.
The other bathrooms tell a different story altogether! A traditional interior style mixed with farmhouse and even a little bit of shabby chic.
It’s incredible how with just a few different decorative elements, the entire room can look so different!
The porch is one of those magical spots that just invites you to enjoy a sunny afternoon. I love the idea of pairing different chairs with a bench around such a classic table design. The string lights, and the retro-inspired wicker couch… just so pretty!
The basement doubles as a lovely family room.
With a gorgeous stone fireplace painted in white and navy accents, along with a mix of farmhouse and country touches and comfy sofas, this room is a comfy dream!
There’s a very special magic to the farmhouse homes! It’s such a beautiful style that celebrates collected aesthetics with its rustic touches and reclaimed pieces. I just love it and feel inspired to add a little bit more farmhouse into my own home.
