Houzz Furniture And Interior Design Ideas

Houzz furniture and interior design ideas is not only a home design site, but a place to shop for your home. I have purchased several things through Houzz and wanted to share with you! Off the bat, this is not a sponsored post…I’m giving a resource that I enjoy and hope that you will too.

Several areas in our home are in need of updating and we’ve been working hard on it. One of my favorite things to do is to scour the internet and window shop. After taking care of blog business early in the morning, one of the first things that I do is to head to Houzz. I find a lot of inspiration on Houzz and it’s easy to navigate.

Houzz furniture and interior design is a helpful way to design and furnish your home. You’ll be able to browse millions of interior design photos, and go down the rabbit hole (like I do) when time permits! There are home decor photos, all kinds of decorating ideas and home professional contributions. In fact I first became familiar with Houzz years back because my husband has a construction business. We use it often for a resource (especially me) and I help him with clients who are searching for products and ideas. It’s fairly easy to navigate for everyone. You can also find local professionals to hire, but I have never personally done that. You can create idea books within Houzz to save products and design projects that inspire you. Below is a screenshot of my dashboard. You hover over the categories and click on what you’d like to see.

When we were redesigning our master bathroom, I scoured Houzz for ideas first. Houzz bathrooms and Houzz kitchens are chocked full of professional ideas are are sure to inspire. They are so good…showing you most popular products of the month, highest consumer rated, free shipping and so on. I am a comparison shopper and found some of the best prices through Houzz.

You can shop by department, contact a local professional, browse ideas by room, see latest stories, preview sales and browse photos by style. Houzz has a blog and honestly I’m not super impressed with it. Interesting fact…Houzz doesn’t have a Pinterest account and you can’t save photos to Pinterest. I use Pinterest as a major source of sharing, so that’s too bad. Find me on –  PINTEREST .

With so many projects going on I’m saving Houzz furniture and interior design ideas to a spreadsheet on my laptop. We have so many projects that are in process and we can’t do them all at once. Saving ideas is the best way to move forward and here are some favorites below (several of which I already have;-). I’ve shopped pricing and these are all the BEST, plus Houzz will match prices and shipping is often free. There is a big sale going on at the moment and it’s a good time to window shop for your home!

I’ve sourced a text link below of what I’m craving now and I actually own a couple of these items already…

Copper Pendant Light / White Garden Stool / French Dining Chair

Gold Flush Mount Light / Blue Traditional Rug / Modern Gold Hanging Light

Gold Trellis Pendant / Muted Blue Rug / Crystal Pendant Chandelier

French Bathroom Vanity / Gold Pendant Light / Single Sink Vanity

Let me know what you think of Houzz if you haven’t used it as a resource yet!

  5. Hi Janet! I love Houzz and have been using them since they first showed up! I’ve bought many things from them and have been very pleased. They’re a great source for inspiration like you said. Like you, I’ve never used any of the contractors and such that come recommended, so I can’t speak to that part of dealing with Houzz. I’m a wicked comparison shopper too, so I can totally relate! It makes me so angry to buy something, only to find it cheaper somewhere else, haha! So I try and do my homework for any major or even smaller purchases. I don’t like to over pay for anything! lol! ? Hope you have a nice week! Thanks for the post! ?
