Her knack is crafting homes that aren’t just easy on the eyes, but are genuinely unique and liveable. I wholeheartedly agree with her design philosophy: a truly beautiful home isn’t just about what you see—it’s about how it feels!
Get ready to be inspired by Paloma’s world of warm and refined interiors. Let’s start, shall we?
The Wonderfully Exquisite Interiors of Paloma Contreras
Let’s begin with this absolutely delightful dining space, part of her Living by Design Showhouse project! Blending the ideal dose of sophistication and whimsy, the gorgeous botanical wallpaper sets the tone of the space.
Soft coral pinks, lavender hues, and sage green dominate the color scheme with small accents in bolder colors that break up any possible monotony.
Facing the dining room, there’s the kitchen, separated by a sunroom’s inspired glass grid wall divider. Lots of marble, crisp white, soft green, and brass play beautifully with the mix of traditional and contemporary elements in this home.
In the stylish and practical pantry, the botanical wallpaper continues, creating a cohesive flow from the dining area. This time, it’s paired with white custom storage units with natural wood accents. Perfect to organize in style!
The Piney Point project showcases a masterful blend of elegant design and grand architecture.
The color scheme is sophisticated coastal – soft grays, creams, and muted blues paired with sparkly metallic accents and matte finishes.
The living room features soaring ceilings with striking wooden inlays, complemented by large arched windows that flood the room with natural light.
The West University project blends nature-inspired elements with vintage charm and feminine touches. Each room has a delightful sense of warmth and uniqueness to it. Rich hues take center stage in this home, paired brilliantly with metallic accents.
The pantry’s a showstopper with its glossy deep blue finish – I love this room!
Greens pop up throughout, from sage to emerald, weaving a lovely color story from room to room.
It’s a masterclass in using bold shades without overwhelming the senses.
The living room exemplifies the home’s warm and whimsical character. A standout feature is the nature-inspired wallpaper with its iridescent background, creating a captivating setting. The soft blue velvet sofa, lush green curtains, and golden accents work together beautifully, enhancing the romantic flair.
As many of you know, I love a good Palm Beach interior design and Contreras does it beautifully. In her project Palm Beach, we can see how she masters the tricky balance of tropical charm and refined elegance, avoiding the usual clichés.
Geometric and botanical patterns mingle effortlessly, while the color palette is vibrant yet sophisticated. Lush greens set the stage, beautifully offset by soft coral pinks and gentle blues. A bit of magenta keeps things lively. Each hue plays its part in just the right measure, crafting a space that’s both harmonious and vibrant.
Coastal and Mediterranean elements add depth, and textures like bamboo and sisal bring warmth.
Similarly, her design for Kips Bay Showhouse home feels both breezy and polished – quintessential Palm Beach, but with a modern twist.

Paloma Contreras’s designs ooze authenticity, perfectly capturing each client’s unique taste and lifestyle. From cozy nooks to grand living areas, she crafts every room with a sense of individuality that’s hard to miss.

Linda, I know exactly what you mean. Wallpaper used to be rather boring, not to mention it was difficult to remove! Not the case in these times for sure.
I love the basket weave wallpaper in the bathroom. Honestly, I love her use of wallpaper, in general . I know a lot of people seem to shy away from using it these days, but I’ve always loved it.
Paloma is incredibly gifted and I’m so tempted to use a similar pattern wallpaper to her one with the birds!
