Gorgeous Valentines Day Tablescape Tips!

With an abundance of David Austin garden roses and ranunculus, I created a look on the living room mantel. Since I’m joining a few blog friends today for a Galentines Day post it got me thinking. Why not move the dining table into the living room for a small gathering of friends! This table is not particularly heavy and you can learn more about it HERE with my painting technique. It came from Facebook Marketplace, as did the chairs!

After it, it’s perfectly normal to have a dining table in the living room…right? 😂 I actually had another purpose in doing this as well, as we’ve been discussing possibly opening up a wall in a renovation. I’ll let you know what we decide later on. Color wise it’s easy to decorate fluidly in my home with white walls (Benjamin Moore White Dove) and pale blue accents.

But I digress…let’s get into how I accomplished this look and how you can get some ideas for your own gorgeous Valentines Day tablescape! I received my flowers from Petal Driven with an abundance of David Austin roses and ranunculus. They are local to me in Miami and have the best flowers delivered straight to your door nationwide! It made perfect sense to adorn the mantel with the flowers and my own cuttings (including orchids!) from my tropical garden.

Adding Vintage For A Personal Touch

A vintage copper bucket and you can find the wicker ginger jar HERE. These pieces aren’t meant to hold water, therefore I used a simple jam jar inside each.

Abundant Floral Table Setting Galentines Day

The white pot is a vintage McCoy planter (HERE is one at a great price!) and the huge Koi Ginger Jar can be found HERE. They are both favorite pieces of mine and always fit in with my style. If I had the time I might have added a banner to go all out, or balloons as I did in THIS POST! If you haven’t seen that post it’s a must and generated quite the buzz all over the internet! Find the balloon package HERE!

The Details

Now on to the gorgeous Valentines Day tablescape that took just a few minutes of work!

Abundant Floral Table Setting - Shabbyfufu

The table setting is very simple with a dinner plate, salad plate, vintage pink roses napkin and modern flatware. I think that the juxtaposition of the old and the new results in talk amongst guests!

Vintage pink depression glass wine glasses, thrifted brass candleholders hold pink candles. There’s a vintage candy box to spark interest and a trio of vintage Mason jars with pink garden roses and ranunculus complete the look. Easy lemon squeezy and bonus…each of my three friends sitting at this gorgeous Valentines Day tablescape can take a jar of flowers home for a gift! Really makes for a memorable party no matter what is served! I believe that once you set a beautiful table than any meal looks tantalizing. After that you can sit and just enjoy!
