Coastal Cottage Home Tour
Welcoming us is the lovely entryway. A white shiplap backdrop and a striking blue wall create a coastal-inspired feel right away, giving us a sneak peek of what you’ll find in this charming cottage.
A functional and elegant storage closet keeps things tidy while a large wooden bench sits facing it. Adorned with throw pillows with blue detailing, the bench arrangement adds to the coastal charm.
Inside this charming coastal cottage, the living room is lit with natural light, where white and soft ivories work as a backdrop, heightening the airy feel. Nestled cozily between two expansive windows, a rustic stone fireplace serves as the focal point.
Thoughtfully placed throughout the room there’re throw pillows, and decorative accents in a coastal palette of blue, teal, and soft blueish greys, adding a touch of seaside allure.
The kitchen replicates the coastal theme. Paired with white cabinets, natural wood accents offer a subtle contrast. Black hardware, metallic finishes, and organic materials like woven raffia and rustic wood, add in some texture.
Facing the kitchen island, we find the dining area where the same play of texture and colors continues.
There’re grey rope chairs paired with a honey-colored wood table, creating the perfect dining spot.
Anchoring the dining arrangement and dividing the areas visually, there’s a large sisal rug.
Dividing spaces in an open-concept layout is always tricky. Here, the designer found a simple yet effective way to work with the space, while separating the areas and keeping a traffic flow.
Coastal Cottage Bedroom Home Tour
Elegance and serenity intertwine in the primary bedroom, where the gable roof showcases exposed beams painted in soft white, adding character to the space. Aqua-blue walls provide a tranquil contrast to the surrounding light tones, creating an ideal space for rest.
Just like other rooms of this stunning coastal cottage, touches of blue can be found throughout the room, accentuating the cohesive color scheme. Such as the delicate detailing on the curtain borders and the armchair’s skirt, enhancing the cohesive color scheme.
To break the serene palette, striking reddish-hued patterned throw pillows draw the eye, while a gorgeous wood bead chandelier with a rustic finish hangs above the bed.
The austere study is an example of simplicity at its finest.
Taking center stage is a teak wood desk with sawhorse legs, strategically placed against the windows. Accompanied by two wicker chairs with accent pillows, this space effortlessly combines functionality with a touch of cozy allure.
The white and blue geometrical pattern floor tile along with the farmhouse-inspired lighting and vanity in distressed wood raises an otherwise understated decor to a more elegant level in the bathroom.
The sunny sunroom is surrounded by large white windows that filter bright natural light. The coastal color palette shines through in the set of bistro wicker chairs, combining white and blue. The sunflower centerpiece and indoor plants, along with the white rattan lantern add a cheerful touch.
Although I loved every room of this coastal cottage, I must say the porch is my favorite. A little bit traditional, a little bit eclectic, and a whole lot of stunning!
In addition to the color choices, the materials also play a key role in achieving this coastal vibe. A wicker seating set, a sisal rug in pale blues, patterned throw pillows in yellow and blue, natural wood, and rattan all come together to create a dreamy beach-inspired porch.
In a similar style, the other porch also carries the same materials and timeless charm.
