Whether you opt to include these trends in your home with a classic indoor palm tree or go for something more bold, this timeless trend can add a touch of tropical glam to any room in your home.

Palm Tree Home Decor: Palm Leaves Arrangements

Adding some palm leaf decor can bring out that tropical feel in your home like no other decor element! The most authentic way to bring that touch of tropical flair to your home is with the real thing.

It’s a small decor element that has a dramatic effect on a room and it looks fantastic no matter what home decor style you have going on.

If you don’t live in a tropical area like me and can’t get real palm tree leaves, you can still get this decorative element in your home easily!

You can find faux palm tree leaves that are identical to the real thing almost in every decorating store. You also have different options if you want something that matches your home decor a bit more.

Dried palm tree leaves, for example, are a fantastic option to add this tropical vibe if you like to keep a neutral color palette. Golden and pink palm leaves also make for a stunning pop of color in any corner.

Palm Tree Decor Trends To Try

You can opt for different ways to add this lovely element to your decor without introducing palm trees –real or faux– to your home. Here are some of my favorite trending options!

Wallpaper and Murals

Wallpaper is a great option to introduce palm tree home decor and give your room an instant boost!

Add wallpaper to an accent wall, where a bold punch of color can make a huge difference in your space. A mural on just one wall is another option that works amazingly well for smaller spaces.

If you want something more muted and serene, go for a wallpaper that features thin palm leaves illustrations in a watercolor-like style. Choose light greens and blues instead of darker lush hues.

The softness of the lighter colors will pair beautifully with other elements in your room, especially if you have a more neutral or coastal-styled home.

Throw Pillows

If wallpaper is too much of a commitment right now, you still have plenty of options to add some of these palm tree home decor trends
One of the easiest ways to bring tropical vibes in an elegant way is by using pillows.
Patterned and embroidered pillows will give you just the pop of palm leaves you are looking for, without the hassle.

You can go for extra large leaf prints to get the maximum effect or opt for something more subtle and abstract. Both work to give your room a tropical vibe!

Palm Tree Wall Art

Whether you’re seeking a striking statement piece to anchor your living room or a subtle accent to brighten up a hallway, palm tree wall art is a great way to infuse a tropical vibe into any room in your home!

For a bold and dramatic effect, you could opt for a large-scale canvas or framed print that features a striking palm tree scene.

Alternatively, you could add palm tree home decor and create a gallery wall of smaller palm tree prints or photographs, which can bring a playful and eclectic vibe to your space. Going for a neutral take on these stunning tropical leaves is also a fantastic option if you don’t want to add a bold color to your home decor.

Palm Tree Decor Trends:  Accessories

If you’re looking to add a playful and tropical element to your interior design, consider incorporating palm tree accessories!

Small dishes in the shape of palm tree leaves can serve as trinket trays or catchalls, ideal for holding small items like keys or jewelry. Hooks shaped like palm fronds can be used as functional and stylish hangers.

Tableware is another popular option for incorporating a palm tree motif into your decor. Palm tree-themed plates, bowls, glasses, and napkin holders can bring a whimsical and personal touch to your dining table. For a cohesive tablescape, consider combining palm tree tableware with other tropical or natural elements, like bamboo placemats or a woven table runner.

You can incorporate this breezy vibe with a palm tree leaf motif lamp or invest in a palm leaf ceiling fan.

Another option is to add patterned accent chairs or slipcovers to add a pop of green to your furniture. These small touches can add a fun tropical twist to your space while remaining understated and refined!

Styling Palm Tree Home Decor

When styling remember that palm tree decor has no strict rules! You can mix and match different styles and sizes to create a unique and personalized look. Experimenting with unexpected pairings, such as a vintage palm tree print alongside modern furnishings, can add a fun and eclectic flair to your decor.

So, feel free to experiment!

  1. I’m so glad you talked about this. My daughter and I were shopping at Pier 1 a few weeks back and came across some beautiful faux palm leaves. They were huge and are supposed to be used as like a place mat and the layering from there. I used them for Easter dinner. It came out awesome. I certainly don’t live in the tropics. But it’ll be fun to use them for dinner parties this summer.

  2. They are everywhere! I went to TJ Maxx and it was like stepping into a jungle. I am from the Caribbean originally and personally love the trend. Plus with this eternal winter, it makes me thing of warmer climates. 🙂 Beautiful photos, by the way,

    1. Thanks Angie….I noticed that in my local Homegoods and am loving it!

The palm leaf wallpaper takes me back to 1978, when I had my husband hang a neatly identical pattern in our rental kitchen/ dining area. Loved it then, and not sure I’m open to wallpaper again. After removing so much bad paper in our current home. Thanks for keeping me in the design loop.

    1. I hear you on that, but the great thing is that there is a plethora of totally removable wallpaper these days. I’ve tried it and it works so well!
