Bonjour Lundi! Yes it’s Monday and as you read this I’m headed back home after several days at our beach place. It was so nice to get away and relax, and we had not been for several months! On Sunday we had a fierce storm came through, the same one that wreaked havoc across much of the south with snowstorms and tornadoes. We were under a tornado warning for several hours but thankfully nothing materialized. Here’s a shot from the archives that I shared on my Instagram account and on Facebook. That’s Darby on the French chair and we do take the dogs when we head up to the beach!

LET’S GET PERSONAL

Thank you to those who responded to my “help wanted ad” in a previous post! I am covered for now and while I can’t always respond to every comment/email/message I DO read them and am very appreciative. You visiting the blog is very important to me and clicking on links that I share or making purchases on my affiliate platforms helps to fund the free content that is provided on this blog. WHAT I’M LOVING IN DECOR

I’ve had my eye on this Pagoda Lantern in Robin’s Egg Blue for sometime now and am about to pull the trigger! Looking to update a few things in my home for spring and it’s on sale right now! I did order this set of Foo Dogs in the same colorway and they will likely go into my updated home office/guest room when finished. Here’s a beautiful large Ginger Jar that made it’s way into my cart when shopping Target over the weekend! I purchased two of these Rattan Flower Vases and what a great price! You’ll be seeing them in my vignettes filled with flowers soon!

WHAT I’M WEARING

All about comfortable chic clothing over here and these lounging shoes  (I have them in black) fit the bill! Have you check out Birdies yet? One of the things that I love about Birdies (besides comfort) is that you can dress them up or down. These pink slippers with the poms are everything!

I mostly stick to black and white with clothing and this no iron stretch shirt from Chicos is a staple in my wardrobe. You probably need one in yours!

BEAUTY PRODUCTS I’M USING

I was looking at some of those silly “memories” photos that pop up on one’s iPhone with my husband over the weekend. He commented on how my skin looks better than it did a few years ago ☺️ and I attribute that to several things. One of those is better skin care and beauty products like this Maelove Glow Maker that I’ve used daily (consistently) for a couple of years now! WHAT I’M COOKING & EATING

We all know that there is a supply chain issue these days and sometimes the grocery store shelves are a bit barren. One of the best things that I discovered during the pandemic was Thrive Market. I make a lot of stir fry and this is hand’s down my favorite sauce! I apologize that I don’t have it correctly formatted here, but you can highlight, copy and paste and then print it out:

VEGAN YUM YUM SAUCE –

1/2 cup raw cashews 

1/2 cup filtered water

juice of 1/2 lemon 

1 tsp tomato paste 

1 tsp garlic & onion powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos

1 tsp sriracha

Blend all ingredients until smooth with a high powered blender like a Vitamix.

WHAT I’M WATCHING

I’ve been binging Reign on Netflix, a four season show about Mary, Queen of Scots that is based on real life events during her life in the 1500s. She was named the queen of Scotland at only six days old when her father the king passed from illness. Although the series can be a bit quirky with some violence, it’s worth checking out!

INSTAGRAM LOVE

I have a few Instagram accounts that you might want to check out today! One is the incredible flower farmer Erin of Floret Flower, who I had the chance to meet some years back at the Better Homes & Gardens Style Maker event in New York. She’s as sweet and genuine as she is talented! It would be my dream to head out to her Washington flower farm someday!
